Chapter 7: In the vents

After me, Gina, and Principal Love arrived at the vents that possibly led to the ac system, he takes out a screwdriver to unscrew the screws for the vents. After the screws were unscrewed, he gives me and her a boost to get inside the vents. It's so cold inside the vents. Luckily we have our capes and mittens that can keep us warm. He gives us a thumbs up before we start walking to the ac system.

It's been three minutes and we're still walking. So I start singing to stop the awkward silence, "Sweetheart. Sweetheart. Thou shall free my soul from the dangers awaiting me. Sweetheart. Sweetheart. The best spirit to ever exist. Sweetheart. Sweetheart. We will always love you till this faithful day."

Gina smiles, "Did you come up with that song?"

"Well, before I was adopted, my mom would sing me a song dedicated to Sweetheart."

She pat my head when I giggled, "That's cool. I wish I get to meet your mom and dad. I think they'd be more than happy to meet me."

I hug her, "I think so too."

"Oh Gina, are you cold?"

"I'm fine. Besides, I have a cape on so there's no need to feel cold." The cold air blows as she starts shivering.

I put on her hood before I put on mine, "It's okay. If you want I'll give you my cape to warm you up."

"Oh no, please don't do that. You'll get sick like Candy-Kun. But thank you." She starts walking ahead of me.

"Okay. I thought you need my cape but never-mind." I start walking to catch up.

After ten minutes of walking, we notice the ac system covered with ice. Luckily, the emergency button is not covered with ice. We would've been too late to stop the ice, cold air from blowing from the vents. Fortunately, I don't see anyone guarding the ac system which makes the mission easy as pie. After walking ten meters to where the emergency button was reachable. Gina presses the button as the ac system out of nowhere turns us to ice.
