The palitans of Voltron didn't realize Lance was a clone until today. Hunk was walking with Lance to the control room, when Lance tripped and his hand broke. When Hunk saw this, he was filled with terror. He yelled for someone to come help him while he knelt down to tend to Lance. He heard footsteps running towards him. But he noticed that Lance's hand had wires sticking out of his wrist.

Allura and Pidge soon came and noticed Lance's hand too. Pidge ran some tests on the robot Lance.

"This explains why the gulra have been able to find us." Pidge said, eyes glued to the computer screen. "Robot Lance has been sending information to the gulra."

"How did we not notice this before?" Hunk asked. "How long has Robot Lance been with us? And where is the real Lance?" Hunk's heart ached at the thought that Lance was hurt, or in trouble. They've been best friends since seventh grade.

"It looks like the robot has been with us for a month now. It doesn't say where the real Lance is though." Pidge answers.

"Is there anyway we can track the real Lance?" Keith asked.

Coran typed some things in the control panel. "I think we can. We can track you all anywhere in the universe. The lions can track their palitan anywhere. That's how we know where you are."

Everyone stood as Coran typed. After a minute the altean shook his head. "What? That's impossible! I can't find Lance anywhere."

"Maybe I can track him." Allura stood where she normal stood, the pillars rose up as she put her hands on them. Her hands glowed as she closed her eyes. But several minutes later she gasped in pain. "I can't track him either. It doesn't make sense. We can track you all. But we can't find Lance."

Suddenly, an alarm that none of the palitans heard went off. Coran immediately went to the control panel again. "Princess, there's a distress signal coming from an altean ship."

"Are we not the last alteans alive?" Allura looked hopeful.

The castle hyperjumped to where the signal was coming from.

"What is that?" Keith asked.

There was a big hole that looked like a black hole. It was radiating orange and black energy. An altean ship stuck out of the hole.

"Is that a wormhole?" Hunk asked.

"If so, it's nothing like a wormhole I've seen before." Coran answered.

"There's a massive amount of energy right where the ship is stuck." Pidge commented.

"We need to go see if anyone is aboard. They may need our help." Allura said.

"We can send a probe over and see if we can find out what this thing is."

"Do it." Keith told Pidge.

They all watched as the probe left the castle and went closer and closer to the hole.

"The energy shows no signs of radioactive decay. It's not thermal."

"It's not gravitational. It almost seems like its radiating energy out instead of in." Hunk added.

"That energy signature, I know it." Coran gasped. "Its radiating quintessence!"

The pod exploded as it went into the hole.

"Whoa, that was weird." Hunk gulped, "Lets not get anywhere near there."

"We must." Allura said.

"Didn't you just see what happened to the probe when it went in there?"

"Voltron compositional strength far exceeds in anything else in the universe. We received an altean distress signal. Which means that someone is alive on this ship. As palitans of voltron it is our duty to help."

"Princess, I still think there is a chance that this whole thing is a trap." Keefe pointed out.

"Even if it isn't a trap, this thing is far too dangerous to go in there." Coran warned.

"I'll do it myself if I have too." Allura snapped.

"No." Keith began. "Princess, we will all go check out the ship."

Allura turned to face Keith. "Very well, but I'm coming with you."

"Princess, It's too dangerous." Coran noted.

"It's an altean ship! I don't care if it's too dangerous. Voltron does dangerous things all the time. It is our duty to save the universe. Someone needs to know that we're here to help and that were not the enemy."

Coran started to argue, but Keith cut him off. "Fine. We'll take the green lion. Everyone suit up."

Soon everyone was in the green lion. Hunk felt sick as they got closer and closer to the hole.

"Green doesn't seem to be affected by the hole. It should be torn up like the probe. But, everything is normal."

As they were going through the hole, they lost all connections with Coran, but it was too late to turn back.
