Familiar Faces

The green lion came out through the other side of the hole unharmed.

"We've lost all comms with the castle and coran."

"Wait," Allura paused. "There's no back of the ship!"

"I don't think that moon was there before." Hunk noted.

"Pidge, land green and lets go check the rest of the ship out." Keith said.

Pidge landed the lion and they all climbed out and went into the ship. In the ship, all the lights were off. After several turns, They made it to the sips control room.

"This is so creepy." Hunk muttered.

Allura made her way to the controls and put her hand on a panel. Suddenly, the ships lights came on with the gravity.

"Did the crew abandon ship?" Keith asked.

"I don't know."

Allura pressed some buttons on the control panel. A screen popped up with an altean.

"We managed to get the comet following King Alfor's plans. But it seems there is a disturbance. We're heading back to altea. But I'm not sure we'll be able to make it." The altean in the video said. Suddenly, there was a flash of light and the video went dark.

"What do you think happened?" Keith asked.

"Something deadly." Pidge answered.

"This still doesn't explain the biorhythms I'm finding." Hunk pointed out.

Suddenly, a vent from the ceiling came crashing down to the floor. A man leaped down and ran towards the palitans. He was wearing a gray suit, similar to the palitans. But it had a bright green symbol that looked like a X on the helmet.

Keith ran to defend them. But the man was able to block all of their attacks. A minute into the battle, the man injured Keith's ankle and had his sword in front of his neck.

Everyone was in shock that the man had defeated Keith. "Who are you? How did you get here?" The man asked putting his sword closer to Keith's neck. "Reveal yourselves or your friend dies."

Everyone took off their helmets. Allura stepped forward. "I am Allura, princess of Altea. We are palitans of Voltron. We got the distress signal from this ship."

"Stand back altean." The man spat. Hunk saw his grip tighten. "Palitans of Voltron? Can it be?"

"There big lions that form--" Keith grumbled. But the man kneed him. "I know what Voltron is."

"We're here to help." Allura said. "Please. Let go of our friend."

The man's let go and Keith stepped away. "Take off the helmet." He told Keith.

Keith took off his helmet. The man sucked in a breath. "It really is you. You've came." He whispered so quietly that Hunk could barely hear him.

The man took off his helmet. Everyone gasped. His brown hair was down to his shoulders but everyone recognized him.

"Lance, is that really you." Hunk asked.

"It's me." Lance said.

Everyone crowded around Lance. But Pidge was the first to realize something.

"Lance, your face. You have altean markings."

Lance's hand reached up and touched the blue markings that looked like Allura's. "I know." He whispered.

"You're altean?" Keith asked.
