[Next Day]
Lance sat on his bed examining his new leg. The new prosthetic started a couple inched down from his knee. Then his flesh became metal. Why did they give him a prosthetic? To test it?
The was more advance than the ones on Earth. His new leg actually wroked like a leg. And it helped him move faster. Maybe if he gets captured again, Lance could just run away.
Eventually, Lance got up and left his room. He was bored and wanted to do something. But he didn't want to see his teammates. Lance wandered down the halls. There were so many rooms he hasn't explored yet. But Lance wasn't sure if he should go in.
Lance walked down a hall that was eerie. There was only one light in the hallway and only one door. Lance saw a flashing light threw the cracks in the door way. Curious, Lance walked up to the door.
The door slid opened and revealed a room with a whole bunch of metal parts. Lance recognized several parts to a ship. Nails, gears, tools, littered the ground. In the middle of the room was a person. He was tinkering with a device.
Lance took a step forward and almost tripped over a...what looked like a ship's wing.
The person whipped around to look at Lance. "Lance? What are you doing here?"
"Pidge?"
"Yeah."
"What are you doing here? How did you find this place?" Lance glanced at the piles of technology.
"I needed a place where I can work on my projects. So I found this place. It's great right?"
"Sure..."
"Anyway, what are you doing here?"
Lance walked into the room more. "I was walking around the castle and stumbled opon this room. Decided to check it our when I saw a glowing light."
"Oh this is great! I wanted to see how your powers work. I still can't belive that you have ice powers. Can we test them out?"
Lance was curious about his powers. "I guess. Where should we test them?"
"How about the training deck?"
Pidge grabbed her laptop and together they walked to the training deck.
"Start target practice five!" Pidge called when she entered the room.
A bunch of drones came out of the floor. "Okay Lance, try to shoot the drones with your powers."
A drone shot at Lance, the bullet missing him by inches. Lance focused on something cold. He thought of a glacier and snow falling. A ball of ice formed in his hand, Lance then threw it at the drone.
"Nice hit!" Pidge yelled.
More drones shot at Lance. Lance would hit them with ice. But he wasn't used to throwing. He never really was good at baseball. So his aim was off.
"Nice job Lance! Now lets try the gladiator." Pidge typed at her labtop. "Start training sequence eight!"
A gladiator fell from the ceiling and charged at Lance. Lance threw some more ice balls at him. But it didn't stop the gladiator.
Then the gladiator was right in front of Lance. Lance ducked and rolled to the side. Lance froze the gladiator's feet.
Lance laughed. "Thought you could hit me huh?"
"Lance focus!" Pidge scowled.
In those few seconds, the gladiator was able to break out of the ice and hit Lance in the stomach. Lance was flung across the floor. His ribs were throbbing. Lance closed his eyes and tryied to distract himself from the pain.
Probably cracked a rib. Lance thought. The pain hurt but it wasn't as bad as his time in the alternate reality.
"Lance! Stop!" Pidge yelled.
Stop what? Lance opened his eyes to see that the entire training deck was covered in ice. Ice was covereing Pidge's ancles and she was shivering.
Lance slowly got up trying not to break his ribs more.
"What happened?" Someone yelled.
Lance turned to see Keith walking into the training deck.
"L-La-ance f-froz-ze th-the r-r-oom." Pidge tried to answer, her teeth shaking uncontrolably.
Keith ran over to Pidge, but he slipped and fell on the ice. "Ow. Lance what have you done?"
"I don't know."
"C-Can you u-unfreeze it?" Keith got up but the cold was now getting to him.
"I don't know." Lance closed his eyes and tried to focus on the ice melting. When Lance opened them again, nothing happened.
"I'll g-go g-get h-help." Keith ran out of the room, carful not to slip again.
Lance ran to Pidge, but the first step he took he fell on his face. Lance could feel his ribs cracking more. Lance slowly got up trying not to think about the pain. And somehow he was able to get to Pidge and crack the ice on her ancles.
Pidge fell into Lance's arms. She was ice cold and shaking uncontrolably. Lance ran to the healing pods, and it was a miracle that Coran was there cleaning the pods.
"Coran!" Lance shouted when he ran into the room.
Coran turned around and dropped the cleaning spunge. "Quiznak what happened?" Coran asked as he prepared a pod.
"I accidently froze the training deck." Lance said, nervously. He wasn't sure how Coran would act.
"How could you freeze the training deck? The tempature was fine! Did you mess with the controls?"
The pod closed once Pidge was safely in the pod. The pod turned red and started heating her up.
"I have ice powers now..." Lance looked away from Pidge and sat down on the steps. Pain shot threw his ribs. Lance groaned.
"It looks like you need to go into the healing pod too my boy." Coran helped Lance up. "Tell me about your powers when you get out."
"I'm fine Coran. Nothing I can't handle." Lance moved away from the pod and sucked in a breath when burning pain shot threw his ribs again.
"Nice try, Lance, in you go. It will only be a few dobosh's." Before Lance could argue he was shoved into the pod and it shut on him.
