I'll Always Love You || Jack Avery x Reader

Chapter 4

"Y/n what's wrong" Jonah says as he runs to my side and pulls me off of Jack giving him a look saying 'I got her'.
"Nothing, it's just about Nathan" He sighed in response, knowing how it still always hurt for me to talk about him.
"You really need to stop crying over him y/n it's not gonna help-"
"Actually I think it's best if she lets out her emotions by crying. Trust me I would know, it's not good to keep all that bottled up inside you" Jack says, cutting off Jonah. They all kept trying to help make me feel better which did help a little but still not a lot. By the time the sun was setting we decided to start the bonfire. I burned my first s'more. We ate too many to count and waited for the sun set. As it began to set we all went on a lifeguard tower, I sat up there on my own at first.
"Hey y/n mind if I come up and join ya?"
"No not at all, come up" He began to climb up the stairs and sat next to me. The space on the lifeguard tower was small so we ended up sitting really close to eachother. We spent at least 5 minutes up there talking when I noticed him wrapping his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him. I turned to face him and realized our faces were only millimeters apart. He looks even better up close. I look from his eyes to his lips and back at his eyes. Not gonna lie I was really tempted to lean in but I could never do that to Jo.
—-Jacks POV-—
As I wrapped my arm around her waist she turned to face me.
She has the prettiest eyes I've ever seen, and the cutest smile. I noticed a faint blush on her face which made me smile and also blush. She looked me in the eyes then at my lips and back at my eyes, almost as if she was thinking the same thing as me. I really want to kiss her right now. No, Jonah said no relationships I can't do this to him. We can't do this to him. This was one of the hardest things to do but I had to resist kissing her, somehow.
— Your POV—
he's so cute when he blushes. We continue to stare into each others eyes for about another minute before i decide to lean my head against his chest. He let out a small yet noticeable sigh, I knew he was mostly likely thinking the same as me just then. As i lay my head on his chest he had his arm wrapped around me while we watched the sunset.
"Hey guys we're gonna start packing up it's getting kinda late" Zach shouted up to us.
"Alright we'll be down soon"
"Ok, hey remember what Jonah  said!"
"Yeah yeah i know" Jack responded while rolling his eyes as he removed his arm from around me. i lifted my head up from his chest.
"We should get going, Jonah's gonna be triggered if he finds out we were up here alone" Jack said with an adorable small laugh. I nod my head in response with a small giggle. We found the rest of the boys done cleaning up and we started to walk back to the car. The drive home was fun with loud car karaoke, except for the fact that Zach was teasing Jack about something the whole way home.
