Chapter 18

Daniel's POV
She snuggled up on my chest and started to fall asleep in my arms.
"Your so cute y/n" She smiled. "I think..no I know..I love you." I whispered as she drifted to sleep, not knowing if she heard or not.
Jack's POV
I went downstairs to go into the kitchen to get some food. Y/n was so happy with Daniel and he was so happy with her, I'm sad we're not together, I still really love her but at least she's happy now. I thought to myself as I walked down the stairs. I walked into the living room on my way to the kitchen and saw y/n cuddled up into Daniel as he whispered
"I love you" Hearing him say those 8 letters to her hurt me. It felt like someone had just stabbed my heart and shattered it into a million pieces. I know I sound dramatic but he really does want to be with her....but so do I. I continued walking and he noticed me
"Oh hey Jack" He said quietly to not wake her up.
"Hey" I said while looking for food to eat. I grabbed a box of pop tarts and grabbed 2 out of it and sat on the couch y/n and Dani's weren't on. He spoke up after a minute.
"So your not mad right ?" I gave him a confused expression. "About me and y/n. Your not mad that we're kinda together now?"
"No bro. Your happy, she's happy. That's all that matters." I lied. Yeah of course I was a little lot jealous but I wasn't just gonna say that to his face. He looked relieved to hear that.
"Ok good cause I wouldn't want you to hate me or anything. But do you still have any feelings for her? And be honest, I won't attack you or anything" He said with a small chuckle at that last sentence he said. I took a bite out of my pop tart before responding.
"Yes Daniel. Of course I still have feelings for her. Hell I think I might even still love her but you know what? That doesn't matter. She's happy with you and only you and I don't wanna be in the way of that" I said before I took another bite. Dani's looked a bit surprised to hear that I still loved her.
"Jack you know I feel really bad I d-"
"Daniel don't feel bad about it. I fucked up and that's my fault. I lost her and I don't deserve her, you do. So don't feel bad for being happy with her" I said. He smiled and said
"Thanks bro"
"Anytime" I say as I finished my pop tart.
"Alright well I'm gonna get some sleep, night" Daniel said before he closed his eyes.
"Night" I responded. He fell asleep within a minute. I decided to go up to my room and try to get at least a few hours of sleep. I heard a quiet voice behind me say
"Jack?" I knew it was y/n. She must've woken up. I turned around to see her slowly getting up  from the couch and walking in my direction.
"Oh hey y/n I thought you were asleep."
"Yeah I was but I'm cold and need a blanket" She said as she walks past me and up the stairs. I followed behind and walked to my room as she walked in and out of hers with a blanket in her hands. She walked to my room door before going back downstairs.
"Goodnight Jack" She said before giving me a quick hug. I hug her back
"Goodnight y/n" I said with my face buried in her hair. We pulled away and she went back downstairs to stay with Daniel.
