So many times
But everyone believed that lie.
I said I'm fine
Another lie that I mastered
No one really knew me
To tell if I'm saying the truth.
Asking questions
As if they care
I know they're just being nice
Not really meaning what they said.
Believing you have friends to rely on
To laugh at silly jokes
To share thoughts and gossip with
But if you need them they'll run
Like you're a plague to avoid
Like they don't know you
And you'll realize
You only have yourself
I'm here for you
I've heard that from so many mouths
But are they?
Liars are all around you
Be strong if you want to live
Being independent is the key
Don't trust too much
That'll tear you to pieces.
Distinguish the truth from the lies
Know the difference
