Hermione's POV

We were heading to our common room after dinner, when a light and airy voice called me. "Hermione."

I stopped and looked around. "Come on Hermione. We dont want to be caught by Filch do we?" Ron chuckled.

"Hermione, come now." The voice demanded.

"Are you ok?" Harry asked

"Oh yes. Why dont you two go ahead. Theres a book in the library that I wanted to get." I blushed.

"Typical Hermione. We'll see you in the morning yeah?" Ron replied turning again.

"See you tomorrow." Harry smiled.

I narrowed my eyes. "Hermione this way." The voice said. It got fainter. Quickly I ran toward the voice, not caring where it lead me.

The voice kept calling me as I began to run blindly. Thankfully no teachers or students got in the way, I am a prefect after all.

I hesitated as the disembodied voice lead me to Moaning Myrtles bathroom. I was about to go in when, "Miss Granger! What are you doing here this time of night?"

I turned to find McGonagall waiting for my answer. "I only had to go to the loo, Professor."

"Go quickly then return to your dormitory." McGonagall said in her sharp voice.

I nodded as I went in. The voice had stopped, weird. I was about to leave when, a clank stopped me. I turned to find one of the sinks had sunk down revealing a long sewer below.

I raised an eyebrow, the Chamber of Secrets opens to me? A muggle-born witch with no Parceltongue abilities. Strange. I shrugged and slid down the pipe, and I thought of Alice falling down that dreaded rabbit hole.

I summoned all my Gryffindor courage when I heard the airy voice once again. "Hermione, over here." The voice demanded.

I lit my wand and walked towards a door with snakes around it. I couldnt help but shiver. How did Harry muster the courage to walk into this dreaded place?

Taking a few deep breaths, I came closer to the door, which opened at my touch. Strange, why?

"Hermione!" The light voice said again.

Shaking my head I followed the light voice deep into the Chamber of Secrets. Now I see why its such a fitting place. The corpse of the gigantic snake is right where Harry left it.

Except the room where the basilisk lived. "Hermione. Come now." A deep yet familiar voice demanded.

Furrowing my brow, I walked into the basilisk's den. I shivered, who knew how cold it would be down here?

"Ok who is here?!" I demanded as I lit my wand.

My wandlight came upon a pensieve. "Hermione dive in. All will be explained." The woman whispered.

Shrugging, I dived in.

"Oh Thomas, she looks just like you!" Narcissa Malfoy exclaimed.

"Her eyes are mine, but her beauty is yours my dear." The dark handsome man replied.

"No, it cant be. Voldemort?! I thought he never knew love! Oh no, Narcissa Malfoy?!" I  shook my  head and believed that I  was dreaming.

"What should her name be?" Narcissa asked.

"Rosa is a name Ive always loved Cissy. Rosa Hermione Riddle? " Thomas asked.

I looked at the baby in Narcissa's arms, she had short blonde hair. But when the baby opened its eyes, the eyes were dark brown like mine!

No, if this memory is true, I  stifled a gasp when I connected the dots. Im no Muggle-born. Im a pureblood and the daughter of the darkest wizard in history!

"No, I cant and wont acept it!" I yelled.

Not only has my whole life been a lie, but I've been fighting against my own father!

Quickly I  bolted from the chamber, put a disillument spell on myself, and propelled myself up into the brightly lit bathroom.

"Sweet Merlin!" I gasped. I  quickly returned to the common room and laid on the couch when Harry and Ron came down.

"Good morning Hermione." Harry smiled

"Morming." I yawned deeply.

"Whoa! You had best not fall asleep in class today. Potions is first. At least we don't have the bat of the dungeons!" Ron laughed.

"I do hope Slughorn will be ok." Harry said nervously.

"He will surely be a better sight than Snape." Ron said gleefully.

I rolled my eyes as we went to breakfast. There has to be a mistake. Im a bloody proud lion, not a deceptive cunning snake. There had to be more to the story. But who to ask?

Knowing the headmater, he would wipe my memory of the discovery. And no way was I ever going to join my...ew...its foul to even call Voldemort the D name.

I left the table, ignoring my friends calls for me. I had to clear my head before I could deal with the truth.

"Miss Granger, off to the library?" A deep yet curious voice asked from behind.

I turned to see the classic, intense black eyes on me. "Hello Professor."

"I have the information you seek. Come to me tonight after 6. Dont let anyone follow you." With that, Snape walked away.

Wait, what? Oh...right Occulamency. That explains a lot.

*

"I smell spearmint toothpaste, freshly mowed grass, dusty old books..." I lied on the spot. No, I smelled, Snape. And only Snape, and I blushed. Im his student! He could never look at me like an adult let alone love me!

I huffed in annoyance but made it seem like I was upset about Harry getting a better grade than me! As if, I was actually proud of him, but he could never know that.

Yes it worried me that he followed directions from a book like Ginny did, but at least the book didnt talk to him.

I was worried, my mother was Narcissa Malfoy and was with the darkest wizard of our time.

How in Merlin would talking to Snape make me feel better? I shook my head and continued on with my lessons.

When it was 6, I simply lied to my friends that i wanted to revise in the library. I casted a disillument spell on myself.

"Ah Miss Granger, please cone in." Snape answered.

"Sir-"

"Severus. In private you can call me that. Do we have a deal?" Snapes dark eyes scanned mine.

"Yes sir."

"Now, about your father, its easy. Dumbledore attacked him. He was once a handsone man, but Dumbledore forced him to hide behind that snake like mask." Snape began

"So Voldemort is my father?!" I gasped.
