Chapter 3: Soulmates Discovery

"How long does Albus expect me to be ignorant of my origins? And how in Merlin did you find out about me?" I asked shocked.

Severus cleared his throat looking embarrassed, "When you were born, Thomas drew up a marriage contract for you. He cast a spell to find your soulmate. However, he was surprised to discover you had two soulmates."

"Ok eww!" I said disgusted

"I know its frowned upon in the Muggle world, but in ours throuples are more accepted. What Im saying is that I am one of your soulmates. Now please dont let this scare you." Severus sighed

"Im not scared Severus, Im estatic! In my potions class, I could smell you when I sniffed the love potion." I grinned. "Who is my other soulmate?"

"Harry Potter."

My grin only got bigger. "So Im guessing James and Lilys deaths arent what they seemed?" I asked

"No. The night Thomas went to visit the Potters, he told them their son was soulbounded to his daughter. As Thomas was leaving, Albus came and attacked. Hermione, James and Lily are still alive. Albus lied to the world about their deaths about Thomas going to strike the Potters down. He made up the Prophecy in hopes of destroying Thomas." Severus concluded.

"Where are James and Lily Potter now?" I demanded.

"In Godrics Hollow living in secret. They are in Potter manor where its completely shielded from the outside world." Severus answered

"Im guessing Harry and Sirius have no idea about this?" I took a sip of tea.

"None whatsoever." Severus answered.

"How long have you known that you're Bonded to Harry and me?" I asked

"Since you were born." Came the answer.

"Albus doesnt know about any of this?" I asked

The dark man shook his head. "If he did, I doubt he'd have me working here. When you come closer to 17, you will want to be with your soulmates so badly, like a craving. Potter, you can have. Me? Its best to wait until you leave Hogwarts to snatch me up."

"Oh ok." I replied disappointed.

Severus flicked his wand as music began to play. "I know this is a lot to take in. Why dont we leave ot elsewhere while you join me in a dance?"

"Umm..." I hesitated

"I know Lupin has taught you to do it." Severus smiled

"Its not that, Im just a bit afraid of what Im feeling. I never thought Id have a wizard of my own, let alone two!" I replied shrinking under Severus' glare.

"May I assume the Weasel made you believe that?" His voice became like ice.

I shivered. "You would be correct."

"He is an absolute idiot." Severus wrapped me in his arms. "Hermione, you are a very bright and talented witch, far too good for the average man. Trust your feelings, and trust me."

I looked into his black caring eyes. "Yes Severus, I will dance with you."

After the Potions Master twirled me for the 4th time did he say anything.
"Is something on your mind?"

"When will Harry know about us being Bonded to him?" I whispered

"Soon. When Black takes him for his inheritance test. He will know everything." Severus replied

"Is that why you were so nasty to us
over the years? To throw Albus off his game?" I asked resting my head on his chest.

A low chuckle escaped his mouth. "Precisely my little Lioness."

I sighed, completely at ease with myself. After the music stopped, Severus sat me back down.

"How old are you Hermione?" He asked

I blushed, "I am older than you think Severus. In my third year, I used a time turner to get to all my classes. From it, I gained three years. Im not 16, I am already am of age. Ive had my eye on you for sometime, but was afraid of being rejected."

"I am a good listener my dear. I would have been gentle had you confessed your feelings sooner." Severus kissed my hand.

"Im sorry Severus, but I have to get back to studying." I smiled

"Of course my love. Let me be sure you locked away all we talked about deeply in your mind. Dont push me out ok? Ill leave on my own." Severus pointed his wand at me.

I was pulled into my mindscape and saw Severus smirking at my library of memories. "How fitting."

I let him peruse my mind. I put all the secrets in the deepest part of my mindscape. Its in an envelope hidden in a safe thats located in plain sight. The safe has 3 locks on it, that no one knows the codes to.

I saw Severus quickly went to that area, labeled Secrets. He tried as hard as he could to even get to the safe, but was unable.  The presence in my head was lifted.

"You are strong enough Hermione." Severus smiled.

When can I visit you again?" I asked shyly.

"How does every Tuesday evening at 6?" The dark man asked.

"Thank you!" I squealed before leaving his chambers.

"Hermione?" I turned to find Harry in the library.

"Whats going on?" I asked fighting the mad desire to kiss him. Rita Skeeter was annoyingly right.

"I uh...look. I fancy this girl, but Im not sure she fancies me. Yet Im too afraid of rejection." Harry replied looking nervous.

"What about Ginny? You've only started dating her." I raised an eyebrow.

"We broke up. We saw we didnt have much in common." Harry replied

"Im sorry Harry." I replied at once.

"What about you and Ron?" Harry asked

"Im not interested in him anymore unfortunately." I replied.

"What happened?"

"I finally got my priorites straight. Yes it took longer than expected, but I did." I laughed

"Who do you have your eyes on now?" Harry asked

I smiled seductively, "You."

"M-me?!" Harry stammered before claiming my mouth.

I moaned as he deepened the kiss. "So you fancy me?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes Hermione, I do. I only went out with Ginny to distract myself from you." Harry replied.

"I know that now Harry." I replied claiminh his mouth again.
