Hello Warriors Fans of Wattpad! It's me, firestar4ever, here with a short story about Snowkit. Enjoy!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What happened?

I felt the warmth of my mama dissapear. I looked down, and saw cats standing below with their mouths opening and closing, their eyes wide with some emotion I couldn't describe. My mama was on the ground with them, with red stuff on her claws. She had tried to save me. I saw the brown tom and the white and brown she kit that I played with. Their mama was trying to get them inside the sleeping place.

All of a sudden, I felt pain in my stomach and back. It was sharp. The bird that had lifted me up had dug its claws into me, and there was red stuff flowing over me. I felt weaker as the bird dug deeper. I felt like StarClan was about to take me, when the bird dropped me into a pile of leaves. I don't think it meant to do that. It opened and closed its beak, looked at where I had dropped to, and then kept flying.

I tried to be comfortable on the leaves. I tried to pretend that I was in the sleeping-place with my mother. But the cold, slimy leaves offered me nothing. To cover the pain, I thought. I wondered if the bird had its own kits. I wondered what my mama was doing at home. I wondered how long it would take for StarClan to find me. Would StarClan even care about a tiny kit who never did anything? The thoughts were beginning to hurt more than the bird's claw marks.

It seemed like it was forever until I decided to close my eyes. Maybe I could imagine StarClan, and at least pretend they wanted to see me. I was about to give up, when a pretty she cat appeared.

And for the first time, I...I heard.

"Do not lose hope, young Snowkit."

And then it was over. The world could not communicate with me. I had realized that. Losing hope seemed liked the only, and best, option. Until I felt warmth around my body, and saw a two-legged kit-thing looking down at me in fear. The kit ran to its parents, opened and closed its mouth a bunch, and then I was taken by the larger one. They put me in a black den, and then it started to move. I decided to sleep.

I awoke to another den, this one was gray. A large twoleg creature was peering at me through a clear thing. He opened and closed his mouth a few times at the creature who had brought me here. I was afraid. What were they doing to me? The creature with the clear thing was now holding a sharp thing. He pressed it into my hindquarters, and then I really went to sleep. I dreamed of home, of playing a game with the kits that I had made up. They loved playing it because it was so fun. My fun was interrupted by meeting the real world, where I trapped in a shiny gray den. It was so small that playing a game would be impossible. I saw light coming in through a hole in the den, and then the creature appeared. It picked me up and brought me to the other creatures who had taken me to this place.

Now I live with the creatures. They give me food, they play with me, and they give me warmth. One time, much later, I even saw my clan through a hole in the den. They seemed to be walking somewhere. I didn't see my mama. They did not notice me. I decided not to care.

StarClan is ready to welcome me. I will hear the voice of that beautiful cat again.

I will finally be home.
