Interview: Shadenight

1. What is your name?

Please, just call me Shade or Shadenight.

2. How would you describe yourself?

I am Tomboyish. I play games like Skyrim, Battlefield 3, Sims, games like that, nothing else. I like things organized, if Wattpad had groups to organize books my Warriors books in one section, FTB in another, stuff like that. Otherwise I am quite noisy and will always talk chickens :P

3. What languages do you speak?

Very little of German, some Spanish and mainly English (Obviously) :P.

4. Have you ever been to a foreign country? Anywhere other than what you call home? If so, what are some interesting things you saw there?

Canada once. Otherwise I have been all over the US to Arizona, Michigan, Tennessee, Kentucky, New Mexico... and so on. In AZ, the Grand Canyon was really cool, I really liked going into the caves in Michigan and Tennessee.

5. What is it that inspired you to write?

My awesome friend @Frostleaf showed me to this app. I only read books at first but seeing all the really good Warrior fan-fics inspired me to write my own.

6. Why did you choose your username on here? Does it represent you? Is there a story behind it?

Yes, there is a story behind Shadenight.

So in 2012 I think, our neighbor got kittens from a friend who found them in the scrap yard. There were two gray ones, a black one and a black and white one. We were told that the gray ones were the boys. Me and @Frostleaf, were REALLY into Warriors at the time, and gave everyone Warrior names. Since the black cat was named Shade, I thout of adding the suffix, 'night'. I wanted to do Nightshade, but that name on Wattpad was taken, and Shadenight was created.

7. How old were you when you took an interest in writing?

I think it was when I was in 5th grade.

8. What was the first story you've written that you can remember? Is it on Wattpad?

In school, we had to write stories, but a story I actually wanted to write was on Wattpad. It was my Warriors: Blood book. I am recreating that story so look out for teasers.

9. Do you prefer to write your story on paper first or do you just go straight to the computer?

Right on the computer, usually onto Microsoft Word first.

10. How did you find Wattpad, and what is the reason you decided to stay?

My friend @Frostleaf showed me it, I stayed because of all my awesome followers (stalkers :P, lol jk) and I dfound it disappointing when people stopped updating their books, so I knew my fans would be like that too. That is what kept me here.

11. What is your favorite book on Wattpad, what is this story that makes it your favorite, and why would you suggest this book to others?

Prophecy of the Setting Sun by Tigerheart (can I pick two?) and The Warrior Life: The Tale Of Icefur by xxOreo_Girlxx. They are both such good books, nothing you can suspect. Very detailed, excellent story plot. Read these is you want a good read!

12. Who is your favorite Wattpad author in all of Wattpad?

In all of Wattpad? Oh gosh this is a hard one. I can't pick favorites but one who I would defiantly recommend is Tigerheart. Like I said, he has great Warrior books ;)

13. How did you find out about Warriors, and what made you stick to the series?

I was in 3rd(?) grade and I saw a book with a cat on it, 2nd book in all of Warriors, so I read it. I eventually found the first book of the series and I got hooked! Even more so when I joined Wattpad.

14. What is your favorite scene from Warriors?

When Firestar was caught in the fox trap and Brambleclaw killed Hawkfrost. It was just intense and the suspense. You wouldn't expect one to kill their half brother.

15. Who is your favorite character from warriors and why is this character your favorite?

I don't have a 'favorite' but I like Ivypool. She is a brave and a pretty cat.

16. What would your warrior name be and why?

Shadenight, as it's my username and I am already incorporating it into my story.

17. What inspired your fanfictions?

The Warriors series of course and all of the great fanfics on Wattpad.

18. How many people do you know who also reads Warriors?

Six.

19. Has anyone you've known in person made fun of you for the fact you read warriors?

I know people do make fun of Warriors but I don't think anyone outside of my friends knows I read it.

20. What is your favorite Wattpad fanfiction? Why is it your favorite and who is the author?

One that isn't Warriors I would assume? A really good one is Hope's Final Wish by Wolfang11. It's a good book that I have reread a few times. It's about a cat and a fox... wait I don't want to spoil it

21. What are some other books you read (not from Wattpad)?

Wolves of the Beyond by Kathryn (that how she spells it?) Lasky, occasionally Owls of Ga'hoole and Canterwoodcrest Academy (forgot author). I read other books to, nothing thats a series though.

22. What's something about you that nobody would know just by seeing you?

That I am not quite. In school, I am just the person that is quite. With my friends... I am not so quite, I am quite humorous.

23. Are there any other websites that you would suggest except for Wattpad?

Sketch Club and Deviant Art.

24. Is there anything you'd like to say to fans and readers? Any shout outs to specific members? (Want to mention a specific book you've published?

I thank all of my fans who support me and give me all the nice comments. If it wasn't for you all I would be some small writer in some corner of Wattpad.
