Chapter 6

Despite Timebun's initial confusion at Tea Cake's sudden confession, Rozenbach and Tea Cake managed to convince her that they would explain everything on the way to the selection grounds. Taking Rozenbach into her tiny embrace, Tea Cake made her way to the top of the doughy transportation in a single leap.

Before Rozenbach could ask Tea Cake about her physical feat, doughy wings began sprouting from the sides of the meat bun. The next thing he knew, the bun began to flap its wings, rising up into the air and soared northwards in the blink of an eye.

Clinging to Tea Cake for dear life, he was surprised that the bun's depression made it possible to shield its occupants from the wind speeds created by the meat bun's flight. However, as he turned around to ask about this, he locked eyes with a starry-eyed Timebun.

...

It took a while for Rozenbach and Tea Cake to explain everything to the Royal Chef, who was still confused.

"So... you are a male?"

"Yes."

"You dressed up as a female to stand in for your twin sister?"

"Yes."

"And you used those oranges as your... fake boobs?"

"...Yes." Rozenbach was so embarrassed that he wished that a hole would appear so that he could jump in.

Timebun finally could not stop her laugh from escaping. Rolling on the meat bun, she hammered her fists on the doughy surface as she continued to guffaw.

Rozenbach, on the other hand, felt relieved that Timebun had found the matter humorous instead of reporting them to the King as an imposter. Even though he hated dressing up as a female, there were innocent lives, his family's in particular, at stake.

Timebun finally stopped laughing from fatigue. Picking herself up from the ground, two piping hot meat buns suddenly appeared in her hands. She then passed them to the confused Rozenbach who graciously accepted.

"Ack, they're hot! Thanks for the food!" Rozenbach said as he gently blew on his hands that were stinging from the heat.

"No. They're for replacing your... ahem."

...Woman, are you trying to burn me to death with these!?

Tea Cake had managed to produce a new set of female clothing for Rozenbach out of nowhere. Rozenbach glanced around, hoping that there would be a place for him to change...and facepalmed.

Who would have a changing room on a meat bun? Rozenbach sighed to himself.

Turning around, Rozenbach began to strip, while using the unstained parts of his clothes to wipe off the orange juice that had gotten on his bare skin. Just then, as he was about to take off his skirt, he paused.

Feeling intense gazes behind him, he turned around suspiciously and found Tea Cake and Timebun staring at him, entranced. While Tea Cake looked on, starry-eyed, Timebun seemed to be hyperventilating.

"LOOK AWAY!" Turning scarlet, Rozenbach held his dirty clothes in front of his chest. Snapping out of their trance, Tea Cake and Timebun giggled to themselves as they reluctantly turned away.

After being cooled in the air, the buns were now slightly warm to the touch, yet it was at a temperature that would not burn his skin. He held the buns on his chest while Tea Cake used a thin cotton cloth to fix them in place.
