There was utter silence. The classroom was so silent, that people could even hear Jenna talk, and she always whispered. Always. Which was kinda creepy.
'No takers?', the teacher asked again. None.
'It means that it speeds up the reaction', said a voice.
'Exactly, Jonathan. Good!', the teacher remarked. Sherwin smiled. The blonde was not surprised by the fact that Jonathan was not just a pretty face.
The class went on, and the students listened keenly, to Mrs. Keala, while Sherwin peeked at Jonathan now and then, as usual, earning a smile from him every time.

"So, you're pretty smart, huh", complimented Alex, as the gang walked through the corridor.
Jonathan beamed, "Thanks, though I'm not really that smart"
He was really modest about it, and that made him even more attractive. So damn attractive..
"Anyways, guys, gotta go to the drama room!", said Barry. He was a member of the school's Drama Club, and students had club classes everyday after 2 p.m. That was why Sherwin liked Oakwood a lot.
"Yeah, we've got a whole new dance routine to practice. You coming Jon?", Alex called, to which he immediately perked up, waved bye to everyone, and left, happy as ever.
As everyone left, Felix and Sherwin headed to the music room. The duo talked, really loud, when they were walking, and Felix just couldn't help but adore the way the blonde's eyes sparkled when he talked.
"Watch it, faggot"
Sherwin froze. His heartbeat went up crazy fast, and he couldn't think straight.
"Fuck off, Jared". He could see a boy picking up notes that were scattered on the floor of the corridor.
It's Simon. He was a cool kid, and everybody loved hanging out around him, but, he was frequently subjected to hate. All because he was openly bisexual. He came out a few months ago, to the school. I wish I had the courage to do that too..
"Aaaaanyway, let's go?". Sherwin pulled Felix along. "Oh, have you listened to 'Delicate'? Taylor sounds great in it!"
The Australian didn't reply. As Sherwin turned to face him, he could see that his face was flushed, and he was clearly annoyed.
Before he could ask, Felix said, "What's Jared's problem anyway? Can't he just let Simon be in peace? Aaah I hate homophobes!".
Sherwin smiled. Felix was really cute and adorable when he was annoyed, and the way he pouted just made Sherwin wanna squish his cheeks.
Thankfully, you're not homophobic..

Maybe I should tell him.. Maybe not.. But I want to.. SO badly. He's not homophobic anyways.. But what if, he starts feeling uncomfortable around me? What if he doesn't want to be my friend anymore?? I don't want that.. And I don't really know if he really supports people like me..
Sherwin just couldn't stop thinking, even after he went home.
Hoping to feel better, he quickly freshened up, had his dinner early, went to his room, and turned on his keyboard.
The blonde always found peace and solace in music. It was a gateway through which he could channel his passion, and let out his anxiety. It truly was a part of him, and it had helped him a lot. Especially when his dad died. It was.. a really tragic time. He wouldn't have survived without it.
Playing the melody softly, he sang, trying to soothe himself.
I spend too much time thinking about
who I'm supposed to be
I play by everybody's rules
that don't seem right to me
I'm cool and polite
on the outside

With tears in his eyes, he switched the keyboard off, and after getting ready for bed, he looked at himself in the mirror, and said, "You deserve all the love in the whole wide world. Be proud of who you are."
Tomorrow, I'll tell him. He'll understand. He's my best friend. He said to himself, as he pulled the covers up.
Tomorrow, I'll tell Felix I'm gay.
