Maybe not now..

Running a hand through his wet hair, Sherwin rethought his idea about coming out to Felix. He was his best friend, and a close one too. And he knew him to be kind, compassionate, and understanding. But, though he knew that he was pro-LGBT, he had second thoughts.

He looked at the mirror in the shower. Foggy, and unclear. Just like my mind right now.

Stepping out of the shower, he looked at the time. 8:55

SHIT. I'm gonna be really late today too! Ms. Hess's gonna decapitate me, just like it happened during the Revolution. The French teacher was a bit intimidating.

He didn't have time to pick his outfit, so he wore the first one that he could find, and got down the stairs. "Good morning mum!"

"Good morning sweetie! You're gonna be late again. Have your breakfast soon. Try to wake up soon, hon"

Nodding, he sat down, and had his cereal. Gulping it down in a couple of minutes, he waved bye to his mom, and left for school.

He couldn't stop thinking. Should he come out to his best friend, whom he had known.. practically forever?

"Good morning" Sherwin smiled lightly. He almost forgot that he had a new neighbor.

"Whatcha thinkin about?", the noirette asked. "Me? U-um, nothing. Just.. I don't know what to gift my mum. Tomorrow's her birthday"

"Oh? Why don't you ask your dad about what she likes the most?"

"I don't have a dad."

"Oh."

"He's dead."

'A medium burger, with a chocolate smoothie, please'

Grabbing his order, Sherwin got out of Roni's Café. The evening air was gentle and calmed him. He hummed to himself, occasionally taking a sip from the cup.

6:45. He could see the bright moon as it shone on his wristwatch. He sighed, brushing it lightly.

"Sherwin! Wait up!"

Slightly quickening his pace, Sherwin looked down and walked on, not paying attention to the voice.

He didn't want to talk to him. Not now. Not about that. It would only hurt more. A lot more. And he didn't want to get hurt.

"Wait!" The footsteps got closer, way faster than Sherwin could get away from.

A cold and trembling hand grabbed his arm, and swung him around. As the bright light from the cars nearby faded, he could see his face. His sweet visage, and tender lips were beautiful. The words softly left the noirette's mouth: "I'm sorry"

Sherwin's eyes welled with tears, and spontaneously, he put his arms around the older, hugging him tightly, not wanting to let go.

"Are you okay?", he asked, taken a bit by surprise.

"I am, now that you are here"
