When I gave Harry the letter, I didn't really know what to expect, because I hadn't ever really been in a situation quite like this. However, fortunately, he seemed to be handling the news well.

"So you're really okay with everything?" I asked, somewhat in disbelief

"I mean, yeah I guess." He shrugged "I just didn't see it coming, you know?"

I took a seat next to him on the couch, and placed my hand on top of his. "Harry that's alright." I said reassuringly "I remember weeks before Ron and I broke up, I was having doubts and planning to break up with him just like you were with Ginny...but he managed to break up with me before I worked up the courage. Still, it was a surprise..."

"You never have told me why you and Ron broke things off." Harry said, looking up to me "You don't have to, but I feel bad that I can't tell you he's an idiot and that you were right...though I suppose I don't really have to know the truth to know that, huh? You're Hermione Granger, of course you were right."

I had never plan on telling Harry why Ron and I had broken up. I was afraid that if I had, our friendship wouldn't be the same. And not just between Harry and I, but all three of us. That was definitely the last thing I would want to jeopardize, however after Harry's little speech, I couldn't face lying to him. I never could, really.

"Well, Ron and I were just fighting a lot." I admitted "And at first I thought that it was fine because all couples fight and I suppose it's somewhat healthy for couples to fight. But I guess they stopped being just silly arguments, and started becoming serious accusations."

"Accusations?" Harry asked

"Yeah..." I trailed off, trying to figure out the best way to word it "Ron, well, he's always been a bit insecure...especially when it comes to you..."

"Oh." he said "So he accused you of cheating? Are you serious?"

"Yeah..."

Harry suddenly rose to his feet. "You know, sometimes I really want to strangle that git."

"Harry..." I said, trying my best to reason with him

"No, I'm serious H'mione." He said turning back around so he was facing me again "He was cruel and unkind to you for years and he expected you to forgive him the moment he started to fancy you. And then he--"

Harry cut himself short, and shook his head as if trying to get rid of his thoughts.

"He what?" I asked

"Doesn't matter." he said, and then grabbed his wand and jacket "What matters is setting things straight with that prick."

A/N:

So somehow this story is doing a lot better than what I had expected?? I mean, I had high hopes for it I guess, but it's still surprising to see. Like in my other Harmione stories it only takes like half a chapter for them to get together and this is the tenth chapter and nothing has really happened between them which I think would be more canon if Harmione were to be endgame so I'm somewhat happy with how it's turned out so far. TYSM for reading and voting and commenting, it means the world to me <3
