Harry had a hold on both of my wrists, pinning me to the ground next to the common room fire. From beneath him, I could really tell how much he'd change since we first met. He was much more confident, looking me directly in my eyes, rather than struggling to make eye contact. He also wasn't small and skinny, thanks to quidditch...
"What?" Harry asked, cutting me off from my thoughts
"I-I was just thinking." I said
"Oh yeah? What about?"
"I think I fancy you, Harry."
And before I had even realized what I had said, it was too late because I had already said it. He already heard. The big secret was out, and now there was nothing I could do about it except hope for the best.
"I think I fancy you, too, Hermione." he said, getting off of me, allowing me to sit up.
"Really?"
"Er....I mean, I'm not really an expert on love or anything..."
"Did you feel this way with Ginny?"
Harry shrugged. "I guess...but its different with you. I don't know how to explain it." he said
"Then show me." I said

The Next Day
"Has anyone seen Hermione?" Ginny asked the Gryffindor table "It's not like her to skip breakfast."
"Maybe she's with Harry." Luna suggested, holding hands with Neville "She tends not to be her usual self when he's around, don't you think?"
"But Harry wouldn't have wanted to skip breakfast either."
"Then maybe their doing stuff. After all, they are head boy and girl..." Neville added, but still, Ginny wasn't convinced.
"If it was Harry doing head boy stuff, I would know. He usually tells me stuff like that." she said rather confidently "Besides we have a quidditch match after classes are done today, so I wouldn't think he would bother himself with things to distract him."
Ron rolled his eyes. "That's not how being a head boy works, Gin." he said, causing Ginny to glare at him.
"Well, I happen to think Hermione's a good distraction." Luna said, in her usual dream like state
"Distraction to who?" Ginny asked
"Oh, to Harry of course." she responded rather innocently "Harry and I happen to be very close, and you can tell by the way his eyes light up when he talks about her."
"Harry does not fancy Hermione." Ginny said rather confidently
Ron scoffed, and took another bite into his chicken. "He does, Gin. And it's old news." he said
"Old news to who?" she retorted
"Everyone except you apparently." he said "And I'm only saying this because I am your older brother and I don't want to see you get hurt."
Ginny shook her head. "If you didn't want to see me get hurt than you shouldn't of let me pursue him to begin with, especially if you knew he fancied Hermione." she said and then stormed out of the Great Hall.
"I didn't let you do shit, Ginny! You fancying Harry is all on you!" he called after her
Luna sighed. "Well that wasn't a very kind thing for you to do, Ron." she said, but he had seemed unfazed about the whole thing and simply shrugged in response.

Later that same night, when all of the Gryffindors were gathered in the common room, Harry had decided to make an announcement.
"Everyone, I have something I need to say!" he said and then looked over at Hermione who looked like she was ready to throw a few hexes his way. "Hermione Granger, will you be my girlfriend?"
There were a few gasps, and a few "Skeeter is going to love this!", but for the majority, no one really cared.
"Harry, what are you doing we haven't even finished the poem!" Ron scolded his best friend
"Poem?" Hermione asked
"Mate, shut up." he whispered harshly
"Well, although I would have loved for you to have written me a poem, I'll say yes anyways." Hermione said as she pulled him in for a kiss.
And there they stood, in the middle of the great hall snogging one another's faces off.
Harry Potter & Hermione Granger we're finally, and officially together.
