My men and I went searching for the humans that have decided to try and escape my hold.

"I scent a child over by the river side, your highness." Spoke my guard as he pointed off into the distance where you can see a nice blue-green river that gently moved along with the cool breeze.

"Ah yes I smell the child as well." I said as I sniffed the air and automatically picked up the kid's scent.

As we stopped the carriage and got off we went near the river side and see a child with ripped clothes as it looked hungry, cold, and scared.

I was not able to scent any other human around which lead me to believe that the child was all alone with no one to care for him.

His eyes matched the blue-green river as he had small but noticeable amounts of freckles with his light ginger hair that had small curls.
He's adorable....I'll take care of him.

I slowly went near the child but right before I did that I told my guards to stand ground.

"What's your name sweetheart?" I asked the adorable child right in front of me.

"J-Jack....Please don't hurt me..." He said as he tried to hold in his tears but failed as each of them began to fall down his cheeks and on to the leafs that were on the cold ground.

For some odd reason it hurt me to see him cry like this.
No child should cry like this, especially not from fear....He doesn't seem to know who I am...So who could have made him this frighten?...

It shattered my heart to see a beautiful child like him crying.

"I won't hurt you so you have nothing to fear, little one." I said softly at him as I gently wrapped up my large scarf around the little boy.

He looked at me and seemed shocked at the kind treatment.
Poor kid, he most definitely has not been treated with kindness.

"Thank you! This means a lot to me!" He yelled out of happiness and joy as he was about to wrap his little arms around me one of my guards pushed the child against the tree and impaled him. The thing that hurt me the most was at the fact that his smile that seemed so genuine slowly began to fade as the blood began to seep out.

No....

I automatically began to cry as if it were my child that had just got killed. He was someone I thought that could never warm my stone cold heart. I was furious at the guard. I told him and the others to stand guard, but he didn't listen so now he has to pay a huge consequence.

"Guards get him!" You shouted with all your might. It so loud and scary that it made the crows that were on the tree and those that were feasting off dead animals to flee.

The guards did not hesitate to grab the other guard and put him down.

"Take him to the middle of the kingdom." I said fueled with anger.

I never thought I would cry over a child let alone a human child. But that kid was something special that made me feel so warm inside, not even Jimin could me feel like that. I felt a different kind of love with that child as soon as I set my eyes on him.

I yelled at everyone to leave and let me be, including Jimin who just watched as the scene had unfolded in front of his eyes.

I looked down at the child as I see his once beautiful blue-green eyes that were now replaced with lifeless ones.
