Chapter 2: FRAP

The night was calm. The wind felt soothing as it touched my skin. I stared at the night sky, which was full of stars and it felt like they were staring back at me. I imagined a pair of stars to be my parents and somehow felt their presence and protection. These stars were like a guide, always leading me towards the correct path. I had always been scared of the dark, but these stars calmed me down.

I was told that my parents had died in a plane crash. I was only 2 years old when this tragedy took place, yet I always thought about them, especially at night. How would life have been if they were still alive? My aunt and uncle never let me feel their absence by treating me as their own daughter, but I still cared about my parents.

My aunt Vanessa is a beautiful lady, who carries herself with grace and is one of the best fashion designers in the upper- east side. Her designs, known as the "Scott Designs" are famous everywhere in America. My uncle, Charles is also a smart looking guy. I think Aiden got his 'good looks' from him. Everyone calls him Charlie and he handles the financial part of  my aunt's company.

Suddenly I felt arms on my shoulder. I turned around to see Aiden standing behind me. I knew what was going on in his mind, so I said, "Look at those!"Pointing towards the stars I said, "Those are my parents. They always guide me no matter whatever the situation might be."

"You know what? you've told me that like a million times", he said sitting down next  to me.

We just sat there on the grass, staring at the night sky. We had been doing this since we were little kids.

Aiden suddenly blurts out, "When is Kady breaking up with Jason?"

"Oh! In the mood to date her so soon.....", I said laughing.

"Just gets pissing seeing her kiss every other guy. I seriously can't hold it anymore", he said a little frustrated.

"Pissed seeing 'her' kiss every other guy?" I said, "What about you? I see you kissing all those cheerleaders who just throw themselves at you."

"It's actually not my fault they throw themselves at me", he said defensively.

"Oh! Really?" I smirk.

After a moments' silence my phone started to ring. And guess what? It was Kady! I looked at Aiden and burst out laughing. I picked up the phone and put it on speaker.

I said, "Hey".

Screaming she said, "Shut up, listen. I just dumped Jason, he was becoming too pissing off."

" FRAP!!!!!!" Aiden yelled.

"Colette, have you been dating some asshole, about whom I don't know?"Kady asked confused.

"That was Aiden,doing some stupid research in which he found out a new way of having sex,'' I said.

''Oh ya! So is your brother looking for someone to carry it out, practically?'' Kady asked, annoyed.

Aiden's face was like a tomato and he was shooting daggers at me.

"Why don't  you ask him that yourself,''I said and quickly passed the phone to Aiden, ignoring the glares.

After an awkward silence, Aiden spoke up, "umm..hi?" unsure of what he was speaking.

''Hi! How is your research going on?" Kady asked.

"Ummmm.....it was....something..", I shove Aiden away and said, "Bye Kady. I'll talk to you tomorrow.", and cut the phone.

I stared at him with a blank face for a while and said, "What on earth is Frap?!"
