Ann and the secret painting

Chapter Nine : Is she easy to deal with ?

Mom said in an angry voice "you're late , what took you so long ??,where were you ?".

Somehow I was really scared from the way she spoke , but I looked her in the eyes , and said "my deepest apology for making you worry , I just met Mr. Levin Layler on the way back , and he insisted on giving me a ride , so I had no other choice but to accept it, by the way I met Dad why didn't you tell me he was coming ? Oh , and Mr.Levin is downstairs and he is expecting you"

Mom said in a Surprised voice "what!! , Mr Levin is downstairs !! , what on earth is he doing here?".

After that she got back in the room , and started applying make up , while she was putting on make up she told me "Ann , go and Bring my new black dress from the closet , and while you're at it , bring the peril necklace with you".

I said "right away" and went to her dressing room , after I left I told my self "WOW, that was fast hehe".

Then Gorge came out of no where and said "Little Ann , looks like your not only talented but also very smart , let me ask you something, did you calculate that reaction from her when you told her about Levin ??".

I told him with confidence "Well of course , I wouldn't say it if I wasn't sure of the results, I already know her weakness , so it wasn't something new".

Gorge said "impressive, by the way who is Lona? She sounds familiar".

I told him "how would I know ?, at any case I have to go and give mom the necklace and dress , we don't want to make her angry now do we ?" .

He said "We don't want to make her angry , but if she does get angry you will find a way out of it".

I told him "You can't use the same trick twice , that was the oldest trick in the book , any ways I will go now , I will talk to you later".

I went back to Mom's room and told her "sorry it took me a while , it was hard to find the necklace but I found it , here you go".

She took the necklace and said "thanks Ann , by the way do you know why Mr. Levin is here ?? Didn't he tell you anything?".

I had to lie in a situation like that , but I told her "no I don't, however the faster you go the earlier you will know".

That way I did not tell a lie , then Mom said "well I'm ready now , shall we go?".
