You heard your alarm clock go off and you jumped out of bed. Today was the day you were marrying the man of your dreams. You had been engaged for a year and 3 months. You and James had decided on a somewhat long engagement; seeing how both of you were busy with work. You were glad that you decided to wait so long. You enjoyed every minute that you and James had spent engaged and wouldn't trade it for anything, but now, you were ready to exchange vows and be his wife. You had each written your own vows and couldn't wait to say 'I Do'.

You and Mica put your dresses, shoes, makeup, and hair products in the back of Mica's car and headed for the church. Once you got there, you walked through the doors and to the left was the room you would be getting ready in. It was the nursery. To the right were the restrooms, and straight ahead were double doors that opened up into the beautiful sanctuary. James and Kendall would be getting ready in the dining hall, which was to the right of the stage and down the hallway after they walked through the door. You and Mica unzipped your dress bags and hung up your dresses and closed the blinds on the window on the door. After setting down your things, you left the nursery and went straight into the sanctuary. You finished setting the flower pots on the stage and sat down on the steps leading up to the stage. Once you were walking down the aisle, you would join James and walk up the steps to the pastor. It was a straight walk from the back of the church; so no turning.

It was 10:45 and you heard a knock on the nursery door and Mica opened it. It was Denise and Emma; along with your mom. Emma's hair was like James'; naturally straight and a dark brown. Emma sat in the corner playing with dolls while you got ready. Denise did your mom's hair and makeup and then did her own as you were doing Mica's. Around 11:45, everyone had their hair and makeup done and Mica was starting to fix yours. She did a simple eyeshadow look; kind of like a smokey eye, but not as dark. She used a skin tone color and then a light-medium brown. She used your Jeffree Star Nude liquid lipstick on your lips and started working on your hair. She pinned up the top half and curled the bottom and then curled the top layer and pulled it back so it was half up and half down. After your hair and makeup was done, it was around 12:45 and you were starting to get nervous. Everyone was dressed and ready to go except you, so you undressed and slid on your dress and Mica zipped it up and put your veil on. You skipped out on the traditional veil that covers your face and went with the veil that clipped into your hair and flowed down to the floor.

Once you were ready, it was time to go. You stood off to the side where nobody could see you as the music started. Mica walked down the aisle and went to the left to stand in her place and then you told Emma where to go. Emma walked down the aisle spreading rose petals. Once she was beside Mica, the doors closed and you stood behind them; your heart racing. You nodded to your dad and he motioned for them to open the doors. As the doors opened, you saw the look on James' face go from nervous/anticipation to nervous/excited/happy and he started to tear up. You were glad that the photographer was taking pictures of his reaction (Denise recorded it on her phone). As you and your dad slowly made your way down the aisle, he whispered "I'm so proud of you, baby girl". When you got to the end of the aisle, James was shaking like a leaf. Your dad took your right hand and kissed it and placed it in James' left hand and said "take care of my baby" and took his seat on the front row next to your mom and James' parents.

You and James exchanged smiles and made your way up the steps. When you were in front of the preacher, James leaned down and kissed your cheek and said "You look beautiful". When James stood up straight, you held his left hand in your right and looked forward. "Dearly beloved. We are gathered here today in the presence of these witnesses to join Caitlan Diane Schmidt and James David Maslow in holy matrimony commended to be honorable among all; and therefore is not to be entered into lightly but reverently, lovingly, and solemnly. Into this - these two persons present can now be joined. If any person can show just cause why they may not be joined together - let them speak now or forever hold their peace" everyone remained silent and you looked over at James who was smiling widely at you. "Friends, we have joined here today to share with Morgan and James; an important moment in their lives. Their time together, they have seen their love and understanding of each other grow and blossom and now they have decided to live out the rest of their lives together as one. Who gives this woman to be wed?" Your dad stood up and said "Her mother and I do" and sat back down.

"Caitlan. James. Please face each other". You and James turned and he held both of your hands in his and you smiled at each other and James wiped a tear from your cheek before wiping his own. "Let us pray. Lord, we ask that you lay your hands on Caitlan and James as they enter this marriage. Let them always put you first and put their faith in not just in each other, but in you as well. We ask that you guide them and watch over them. And help James whenever he forgets to put the toilet seat down *Everyone laughs*. Caitlan, James.. May love and laughter light your days and warm your hearts and home. May good and faithful friends be yours, wherever you go. You will have bad times; always let the good overshadow them. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen" As you opened your eyes and looked back up at James, your heart was filled with joy and love.

After the prayer, the preacher went on to talk about faith and patience. Once he finished his speech, he said "May I have the rings?" Kendall bent down and took the rings off of the pillow and handed them to him and he handed your band to James and handed James' band to you. "Caitlan and James have written their own vows. James, go ahead" "Since the moment I first laid eyes on you, I knew you were the one. Even if we broke up for a little while *everyone laughs*, I always knew that our paths would cross again. The night you said you'd marry me, I felt so much joy. You make the bad days good, and the good days better. I can't imagine my life without you. I love you". The preacher looked to you and you looked up at James and said "When I met you, I thought you were arrogant and full of yourself *You laugh and everyone else does too*. But then I got to know you. We became close and became best friends and then around Halloween, you asked me to go on a haunted hayride with you and I was terrified. You held my hand and made me feel safe. When it was over, you took me home, and kissed me and I knew you were the one for me. You make me feel safe and loved and I can't imagine spending the rest of my life with someone else. I love you"

"James, place the ring on Caitlan's finger and repeat after me. I, James David Maslow, take you, Caitlan Diane Schmidt to be my lawfully wedded wife; To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, from this day forward, until death do us part" James slid your ring onto your left hand and repeated the words. "Caitlan, place the ring on James' finger and repeat after me" and you did so. "By the power vested in me by the state of California, I now pronounce you husband and wife. James, you may now kiss your bride" and James placed both hands on your neck and leaned down and kissed you gently and lovingly. When James let go, he grabbed your left hand with his right and you turned and faced your friends and family. Mica still had your flowers. The preacher then said "I present to you, Mr and Mrs. James David Maslow!" And James leaned down and kissed you again and the two of you walked up the aisle holding hands and smiling at your guests. When you got to the back o the church, James leaned down and kissed you again as everyone else followed you out the doors of the church. James helped you into the limo and Mica handed him your flowers and gave them to you and got in. Once the door was closed, James leaned over and kissed you and said "I love you, Mrs.Maslow" You smiled and said "I love you too, Mr.Maslow" and the two of you rode off to the reception.
