It was the day before Thanksgiving and was getting ready to head to his interview. He wore his black suit pants and a white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and a pink tie.

"Have a good interview, babe. Mica's coming over to watch it with me. I love you" "I love you too" and with that being said, James headed out the door and left to go to his interview. Just as you were getting to the kitchen to get a glass of water (It takes you at least 3 minutes to get down the stairs), the doorbell rang. As you opened the door, you saw that it was Mica. "I'm so excited to finally get to watch one of these with you!". The two of you sat down and waited for it to start.

You had your hand on your belly and was feeling your baby kick and you started to think back to the first time you felt it.

FLASHBACK:

You and James were sitting on the couch looking at different baby names online when you shot up off of the couch and stood there with your hands on your belly. "Babe, I think something's wrong". James immediately stood up with concern and put his hands over your belly. "Babe! That's the baby kicking!" "That's the baby kicking" "Yes!" the two of you kissed and James put his hands over you belly to feel the kicks again. "I can't believe I was so stupid" "Cait, every woman gets worried the first time she feels her first baby kick. It's completely normal!" "You really need to stop reading those pregnancy books" the two of you laughed and sat down on the couch and you each kept a hand on your belly; waiting for more kicks.

END OF FLASHBACK.

"So how's James dealing with this whole pregnancy thing?" Mica asked as she came back into the living room. She had gone to get you and her each a glass of water and a sandwich. "He's doing amazing. On his days off, he'll bring his guitar into the living room and sing to her. It's the most adorable thing I've ever seen. He does anything I need him to or ask him to without question" "Aww, that's so sweet! Have you thought of a name yet?" "No, not yet. We're still looking".

You turned your attention to the TV when you saw Ellen. She came out and said "Everyone, please welcome my special guest today - James Maslow!". James came out and waved and sat down and the interview started.

Ellen: So James, I see you're wearing a pink tie. Is that because you're expecting a baby girl? How's Caitlan doing?
James: Yes, this tie is for my baby girl. She's doing good! She looks amazing. We have a little scare last month and thought we were gonna have her 2 months early, but it turned out to just be false contractions. She's currently at home on bed rest
Ellen: I'm sorry to hear that, I know that has to suck. I'm glad she's doing so well!
James: Me too
Ellen: So what are your plans for the holidays?
James: Caitlan and I are actually spending the holidays at home; like I said, she's on bed rest, so no traveling

Ellen and James went back and forth for a while and the interview was eventually over. You got up and made your way into the kitchen with Mica and your phone went off with an email. Your maternity photos had come in.

They were gorgeous. You loved how the photographer caught the love between you and James. You felt huge, but in reality, your bump was perfect. You and Mica were looking through them when James came walking in the house from the garage. "What are you guys all excited over?" "My maternity pictures came in! Look!" James walked up behind you and put his hands on your shoulders and rubbed your shoulders as you flipped through them. "They're perfect" he said as he bent down and kissed you and went up to shower.

You saved a couple of them to your phone and posted them to Instagram saying: 'Maternity pics came in! Thank You to my amazing photographer for taking these. I can't wait to meet our sweet girl'. James walked into the living room as you hit post and James asked you to send them to him. He saved them to his phone and captioned it: 'To my wife, you are the most amazing woman I have ever met. I'm so grateful to be able to do life with you. You are a strong, caring, loving woman and I can't wait to see you be a mother to our daughter. To my daughter, you are so loved already. I can't wait to meet you and I can't wait to see you grow up. Daddy loves you. To you both, I love you both so so much and I can't wait for our journey as a family to begin'.

As you read James' post, you teared up. James wrapped his arms around you and said "I meant every word". The two of you then headed up to bed and quickly fell asleep.
