A James Maslow Love Story

Chapter 23: The Reception

          You and James had changed your mind and decided to have your wedding in San Francisco. 

          At the reception, which was being held at the community center, you and James sat in the limo until everyone was inside. Everyone was talking and laughing as you and James entered the community center and sat in the little room before you went into the reception. You waited and James texted the DJ and then you hear "San Francisco Community Center, it is my pleasure to introduce to you, Mr and Mrs. James Maslow!" James opened the door and the two of you walked in, hand in hand, as everyone cheered. When you got to your table, they served chicken and vegetables. 

          Everyone was sitting and eating when Kendall took the microphone from the DJ and said "Okay, everyone! Time for the first dance!" James stood up and took your hand in his as the two of you made your way to the dance floor. When you were in the middle of the dance floor, you wrapped your arms around James' neck, playing with his hair at the bottom, and James placed his hands on your hips. From somewhere in the room, you heard someone clinking their fork to their glass, so James leaned down and kissed you. You heard the music for  'I'll Be Loving You Forever' by New Kids On The Block start so James ended the kiss and the two of you started slow dancing. You were both huge NKOTB fans, so it was no surprise that your wedding song was one of theirs. Just as the first verse was over, the music cut off and you looked at James confused and he smiled. 

          Then you hear it. Someone started singing the chorus; no music. Everyone gasped and looked towards the stage, so you turned around and saw him. Jordan Knight. Jordan freakin Knight was singing the chorus to one of your favorite NKOTB songs AT YOUR WEDDING. You looked at James in shock and he said "surprise, babe". As Jordan finished the chorus, he was standing right in front of you and James. "So James, this is the lucky lady?" "Yes, sir" and then Jordan said "drop it!" and a curtain fell in front of the stage and you saw the drummer, guitar player, and other band members come out and take their places. Jordan then walked over to the side of the stage, grabbed a microphone stand, and placed it on the stage. The music started and you started crying. James walked you closer to the stage and took your hand and the two of you danced as the music played. James turned you to where you couldn't see the stage and you were looking into each others eyes when the song ended. Jordan just sang the entire song by himself and you were amazed. 

          As you and James posed for a picture with Jordan, you felt someone stand beside you, so you looked up, and saw Donnie Walhburg. You cried and he hugged you and congratulated you and James. "What about me??" You turned around and saw your favorite New Kid, Joey McEntyre and he hugged you. When you let go, James put his arm around you and turned you around and you saw the others standing there. They each came up to you and hugged you and congratulated you and James. The 5 of them then walked up onto the stage and took their places behind their microphone stands. As you and James stood there, everyone else was still sitting at their tables in shock. Donnie looked at you and said "We normally don't perform as wedding singers, but when James called and said he wanted to surprise his new wife.. We couldn't turn it down. So here's to you two" and the music started playing for 'Take My Breath Away. You stood there in awe. By the time the chorus hit, James leaned down and said "Do you wanna dance?" You looked at him and smiled and took his hand and the two of you danced in the middle of the dance floor and everyone else joined in.

          At the end of the night, NKOTB had performed all of your favorite songs and you and James were just taking photos with everyone. The guys were sitting on the stage, waiting for everyone to go home. Once everyone was gone, it was just you and James. Kendall and Mica were gonna come back the next morning and clean up. You and James walked over to the guys and James said "Thank You guys so much for coming. It meant a lot to us both" and Donnie said "Don't worry about it. Just remember, you have to make a special guest appearance on Blue Bloods" and all of you laughed. Your photographer was still there because James had asked her to stay and so you stood in the middle as the guys stood beside you. From left to right, it was Danny, Johnathan, Joey, You, Donnie, then Jordan. After that, you took a photo with each of them individually and then you and James stood in the middle as a photo was taken of all of you. From left to right, that photo was Danny, Johnathan, Joey, you, James, Donnie,  and Jordan. Then James took a group photo with them. The guys congratulated you one last time and left and you and James got into the limo and headed for your hotel room to get ready for your early flight to Cozumel, Mexico.

         You and James walked into your honeymoon suite and started undressing each other. You eventually made it to the bed and started making out and heated things up and had sex for the first time as a married couple.

          Afterwards, you and James laid there talking. You had your head on James' chest and he was playing with your hair and you sat up and he wrapped his arm around you and kissed you. When you pulled away, you said "how in the world did you get New Kids On The Block to perform at our wedding!?" He looked at you and said "I know Donnie's brother Mark. I talked to Mark and he said he'd see what he could do so he called be about a month ago and said Donnie wanted me to call him, so he gave me Donnie's number and I did. He said he'd love to and that he'd talk to the guys" "Babe, that meant so much to me. Thank You so much. I love you". You got up and put on James' shirt and he slid on some sweatpants and the two of you cuddled up on the couch and your phone went off with an email.

          When you opened it, you saw that it was from Denise. It was titled "Wedding". When you opened it, it said 'I know you and James are busy ;) BUT I just HAD to send you these photos from your wedding that I took on my phone. Love you both!' and there was an attachment. As you flipped through the photos, you couldn't help but smile.

2) You and your dad during the daddy/daughter dance. You had your head on his shoulder and he was tearing up
3) James and his mom during the mother/son dance
4) You and James with Kendall and Mica

          You showed James and told him that all of them needed to be printed off and framed and he agreed. You were watching TV when you decided to lean over and kiss James' neck and grab his crotch. He knew what you were wanting to do so he grabbed you and pulled you on top of him and said "I want you to ride me" and the two of you spent the rest of your wedding night having sex and eventually going to bed. You fell asleep with James spooning you and you couldn't help but think 'I can't believe I'm going to sleep as a Mrs.'
