Third Person's POV

It had been more than a week since Robert had fallen sick and he was fast recovering but still had to stay in the hospital for proper care. The entire family had been regular visitors with Bella on the top of the list.

"How're you feeling today Dad?" Bella asks smiling as she places the lunch pack she brought on the side table.

"Better than yesterday princess, you worry yourself too much. You don't have to worry because this old heart, won't pass out until it sees it's grandchildren" he says smiling heartily.

Bella stares at him as if trying to read his thoughts, then she sighs "She told you didn't she?" his smile was enough response to know she was right "..mum has always had a big mouth"

"Well don't blame her dear, it's too much of a big news for one to keep himself. I'm still disappointed you never told me "

"I'm sorry dad, I didn't mean for you to find out that way. It's just, I'm still so confused about the whole thing and I still haven't said yes"

"Don't you love him? "

"That's the thing dad, I don't and I don't think I could ever"

"But do you like him? "

"I mean.. He's nice.. When he's not being so arrogant, he's nice.. But that's just it, I just don't see him that way, do you understand me dad? "

"I honestly don't..but he's a nice fella from what I've seen. Do you know he's visited me thrice since I've been here?"

"Really?..well he's probably just doing that to win your heart and make you like him and I think he's succeeding "

"Well that and also because I have a feeling that he really cares"

"But I've only ever known how to love one man and that's Daniel. I see myself having a future with him, I've known him for over ten years. On the hand, Chris I've only known for..i don't know, a month? "

"Princess, you can give me any reason for not wanting to marry Chris and I'd accept, but not because of Daniel. He's not the man for you. It doesn't matter if you've known him for over a decade, two decades or a century, the truth is you can never really know a person, what you see is not always what you get. We might think we know a person but we never really do"

"How did you know mum was The One? " she asks making him smile as he begins travelling back in time.

"Well your mother and I, we didn't have the cliché love at first sight kind of love story. Our parents, your grandparents, were friends with each other and we'd invited each other to each other's parties. We'd fight and quarrel over the silliest things and so we thought what we felt was some sort of hatred, not knowing that what we had was a different kind of attraction that secretly grew overtime. Your mother has always been the pompous type and I, stubborn so you can imagine the combination" he jokes making Bella giggle "...sometimes, as human beings, we tend to build a bridge around her hearts and we don't give ourselves the freedom and chance to experience something that could have been magical all because of our fear of it not being magical. The thing about life is, we never know. The first time we knew we loved each other, was when we had our first kiss" he smiles making Bella scrunch in happy irritation."gross dad.." she smiles.

"Hey! we weren't always this old"

"Well you'll always be my favorite old man dad" she says hugging him.

"And you'll always be my princess. Now I'm not trying to force you into anything, as much as I want grandchildren, I also want you to be happy and I'd want you to say yes to him, only when you're sure. Don't ever marry anyone for any reason if not love" he says to her and she nods as she hugs him.
