Khushi and the baby were shifted to the room some hours later.The baby was sleeping peacefully on the bed ,near his mother.Khushi smiled seeing his cute face and tried to get up from the bed.Lavanya was near her at the moment.
"I want to use the washroom La.." Khushi whispered and Lavanya helped her walk into the washroom.
When Khushi came out after 10 mins, Arnav was sitting on the bed,holding their baby.
"He started to cry softly so I..." He said seeing the confused expressions on Khushi's and Lavanya's faces.
"Who gave you the permission to touch my baby,Mr Raizada?.." Asked Khushi,her voice angry,surprising both Arnav and Lavanya.
"Khushi I was just holding him because he was crying..." Arnav said softly.
"I am alive to look after my baby...I don't need any favours from you Mr Raizada.."
"Khushi ASR was just..." Lavanya tried to reason.
"Why is he here La? What he is here for? Why is he concerned about my baby? Just ask him to leave us alone..." Khushi said , her voice full of anger.
"I am here for you and our baby,Khushi.." Arnav said his voice full of hurt.
"Excuse me?Our baby?!!.He is only my baby Mr Raizada."
"Khushi I.." Arnav started to say something but was stopped by Khushi.
"You should not spend your precious time with a characterless girl and her son." Khushi smiled sarcastically, reminding him the words he once used on her.
Lavanya moved to Arnav and took the baby from him saying , "They had asked to bring the baby to nursery for TT injection. I will take him there."
As soon as Lavanya was out, Arnav moved towards Khushi and stood beside her holding her hands softly in his.
"I know I deserve much more,Khushi.But please don't shut me out from your life.I was barely alive last eight months.Please Khushi,just give me one last chance to repent and rectify all I had done.Take your own time to forgive me,but don't leave me again Khushi." He pleaded.
"Who am I to forgive the great ASR? According to you Khushi is just a middle class girl with no aukat, who always try to trap rich men like you. Did you forget that I am the one who was entirely responsible for your sister's failed married life? I was the one who had an affair with your Di's husband?." Her tone was expressionless, not even accusing. All those words which once he told her was piercing him.
"All those days I begged you for a chance to talk to you, but you never listened. You were busy drawing conclusions about me yourself and pampering your sister then. When you found out I was innocent you came back asking for forgiveness. Why? Why now Mr Raizada?Is that because now you came to know about my baby, you want to take him from me?I won't let that happen." Her eyes started to get watery.
"From the very first day we met you had given me nothing but pain,immense pain.Remember the day of fashion show,even after I told you numerous times that I had reached there by mistake,you locked me up in a room declaring that I was there to disrupt your fashion show.You were so eager to draw conclusions about me even then.You always believed what you think was right.Do you know what those 6 months after our contract marriage were for me?You and your family treated me like a doormat. I tried to tell you the truth about your brother- in- law countless times.But all those times you pushed me and walked away.On the last days of the contract period,when you were away for that business tour I many times tried calling you. But you never answered.Your sister asked me to get out of your life and let you live peacefully.So I left Delhi.All those months I got nothing except pain and hurt from you Raizadas.You want forgiveness now? Why,Mr Raizada?..Why?.." She asked sobbing,clutching the collar of his shirt.
