It's the time of month that your betta hates the most, tank cleaning day! Water changes are not so bad, but tank cleaning is where he has to be taken out of the tank and he hates that! Since he hates the net so much you use the small cup you bought him in to get him out of his tank. It upsets him less and he isn't hurt. You set him down out of the way as you start taking things out of the tank and begin to clean it. He sets in his cup watching you and becoming more and more impatient about waiting. It doesn't take too long to get everything cleaned and set back up. After you put the water conditioner and new water in you put your betta back and turn on his heater after you dry your hands. He swims around inspecting how well you did putting things back where he likes them and swims to his heater. After you finish putting up your cleaning supplies you check on him to see how he is. The swims put you and says, "Give me two bloodworms and I shall tell you something very important." He swims to the surface as you open the jar of freeze dried bloodworms. You place two worms in his tank for him. He eagerly eats them. When he is finished he looks at you for a long while. Suddenly he speaks, "These words of wisdom are not my own; for they come from God. Look to Matthew 6:24; No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." He then swims under a plant to have a nap.
