Years Later~
Monica woke up with a long sigh. She passed her hand on the cold spot beside her. Her husband was gone. Everyday she would turn over and he wasn't there. It came like a ritual for her. She would wake up, turn to his spot and go along her day.
She got ready for her day as she swept the house, made breakfast, water her plants and sat down. She patiently waited for her children to come. She made them chicken, rice and baked beans. The door opened and her two sons, Kayden and Ethan ran in from their jog. "Hey ma." They spoke together before giving her a kiss on her cheeks. "Hello boys." Then more footsteps were heard. "I can't believe you guys ditched your old man for food." Monica grinned at her husband.
Since they have gotten older, Micheal also got an early start on the day by taking a jog around the neighborhood. His sons would support him by joining every once in a while. She didn't like that she couldn't see him in the mornings but he wants to be alive to see our first grandchild. You guessed it, Andrea was happily married and pregnant with her first child.
"Where are those rug rats?" Micheal questioned after giving his wife a kiss. "They're helping out Luna and Tony with moving." Her brother and Luna were still going strong and they have four kids together, one less than Monica. "And my babies aren't rug rats." Micheal laughed at her. "They were terrible as kids, they actually made my hair fall out." It was true.
Monica gave birth to a boy and girl. Hayden and Kai. Those two were really something else. They would always give their father a hard time at home or they would just bother him for fun. They then took it up a notch and started pulling pranks on their old man, those were good years. "Leave them alone and go bathe, you stink." He rolled his eyes as she defended them once more. "You know it's true." She snapped her neck to Kayden and Ethan who ran away from her stare.

They all gathered around the table, eating and having a great time. Andrea and her husband, Lucas were here as well. "So we found out the gender." She grinned excitedly. "Are you gonna tell us?" Ethan asked impatiently. "It's a boy!" Monica congratulated her daughter and son in law. Micheal was happy, he was going to be a grandfather. He looked around, thinking about his family and how much he went through to get to where he was at. All the money in the world didn't make him happy, this did. He felt a squeeze and looked up to see his beautiful wife smiling at him. After all these years, she still made his heart beat a mile a minute.
When dinner was over and everyone went their separate ways, Micheal joined his wife in bed. He held her as if she was going to disappear. "You think we did good?" She asked him. They weren't the greatest parents, they made mistakes like humans do. "We took care of them, gave them love, education and anything else they could have asked for. I think we did good, they aren't things I would change because we might not have been here today."
She thought about what he said. "You're right. Thank you for being here for me, I love you." She gave her husband a soft kiss which he returned. "I love you too, now let's get some sleep." He covered them as they fell asleep in each other's arms. They may have had ups and downs but at the end of it all, their love was always the same.
