"This is taking to long. She probably already dead. Let's just dump her." A deep voice grovels. I sit up, opening my eyes. I push the blanket off of me and stand up. I look around the room. The white walls scare me.
I look next to me and notice a bucket of red liquid. I pick it up and carry it over to the walls. I dip my hands into the thick liquid. I pull my hands out. I hold my hands up and smear the substance all over the walls until the whiteness is completely dulled. I stand back proudly. I carry the now half full bucket over to where I found it. I place it back in the exact spot. I walk over to the bed I was in and make it.
I look around and notice four figures. To others they would appear scary, to me they appeared... relatable. I walk up to the one closest to me. I examine him. He had a permanent smile carved into his cheeks and he doesn't blink.
The next one I look at has a mask and goggles on. I look at him curiously. He freezes when I reach my hand to his face. I gently pull the mouth guard off his face. His cheek had been torn through and you can see his gums and teeth. I put the mask back on him and he relaxes.
The third looks like Link from the Legend of Zelda. I walk over to him and stare at his eyes. Blood seeps from the corners of his mouth and his eyes. I stare into his eyes, almost hypnotized. I shake my head and smack my face.
I walk over to the last one. He towers over me. I look up at him. He looks like he is wearing a suit. His face is completely white and he has no features that discern him as an individual. Black tentacles stretch from his back. I walk around his body and I watch the tentacles move.
My poker face is the best. My face never changes through the examinations.
I turn away from the silent men and walk back to the bed. I gently sit down on the end of the bed, crossing my legs. I reach to pull one of the knives out of my boots. I am not wearing them. I look down and my whole outfit is changed. Instead of the dress, I am wearing a pair of black shorts and a white shirt. I look the men over.
"Who changed me?" I ask, finally speaking. The people snap out of their trances.
"Sally did. Unfortunately." The one with the smile answers. He was the one who spoke earlier.
"Are one of you Sally?" I ask. The Link character stifles laughter.
"No, Sally is downstairs." The tall one answers.
"Where are my knives?" I ask. The one with the goggles walks up to me, extending the two knives to me, blades first. I look at them.
"Here." He offers.
"Did anyone teach you proper etiquette?" I ask. He raises an eyebrow at me. I slide the knives out of his hands gently and turn them around, handles first. "This is how you hand someone a knife."
I take the knives from his hands and move to the ground. I examine them. I stab them into the ground and climb back into the bed.
"Why do you stab them into the ground?" The one with goggles asks.
"It reminds me of grave stones." I answer. "Who cleaned my knives?"
The Link one raises his hand.
"Rule 1: Don't under any circumstances touch my knives." I explain. They nod.
"How do you know our intentions?" The tall one asks. I look at him.
"I killed my family and my ex last night without getting caught. You didn't kill me so, you obviously have an offer for me." I start, yawning. "But, I am unfortunately very tired so, I request that you let me sleep. As you all know I had a long night."
The straightness of my face and the steadiness of my voice shook the men as they exited the room.
