I quickly run through the rising flames, looking for more people.
"Anyone there?!" I yell. I hear groan. I quickly follow the noise. I find an old man with a tank. He has a burning wooden beam on his back. I quickly shove it off him. I pick him and his tank up, walking him out.
Four other people lay in the grass in front of the burning building. The flames rise higher. A woman grabs me. Tears stream from her blue eyes.
"My kids are in there!" She cries. I shove her off me, running inside. I hear a scream, followed by crying. I find a bedroom. A little boy is trapped in a closet, his sister lays underneath a pile of burning wood. My eyes widen. I shove the wood off, picking up the girl. The ceiling above the boy is about to fall.
I run into the fire, burning myself. I grab the boy, throwing him out of harm's way. The ceiling falls on top out of me. I hold it up, straining.
"Go! Take your sister and go!" I yell, groaning. He grabs his sister's hand, running. I take a deep breath.
I throw the ceiling and throw myself. I hit the ground, the ceiling falling behind me. I quickly run out of the building.
As soon as I hit the cement stairs, an explosion blasts me off the steps and into the grass.
The kids are reunited with their mom. The firemen finally show.
I can't move my body, so I let the darkness reign me in.

I wake in a hospital bed. I look around. Suddenly, my mother rushes through. My siblings are at her sides.
"Are you okay? Why did you do that? You hurt yourself bad." My mom rushes. I smile, holding a hand up to her.
"I saw a chance to help... so I did." I explain, my throat sore. "Mom... If I hadn't have done that... seven people would have died." I explain. She holds my burnt hand to her face.
"But you almost died! Sissy, please don't do that!" Kenzie yells. I look over, smiling at her.
"I'll be fine. It can't be that bad." I shrug, chuckling. The doctor walks in.
"Oh, it's bad. You shouldn't be alive. All of your ribs are broken, you have a bruised trachea. I don't even know how you are conscious. You have a concussion. Not to mention the burns." He explains. I shrug.
"I can't die." I state confidently. He shakes his head.
"This experience proves that."

I sit up in my bed. I hold my head, thinking about my dream. I swing my legs over my bed, standing up.
I get dressed and leave my room. I lay back on the couch, lost in thought.
I feel someone sit by my feet. They pull my feet into their lap.
"Wh-what are you th-thinking about?" Hoodie asks. I sigh gently.
"Why do we kill people?" I ask. Hoodie freezes.
"We k-kill bad people. P-people who h-hurt other people, r-rapists, a-abusers, all of th-them." Hoodie explains confidently. I sigh.
"I ran into a fire. When I was fifteen... I ran into a fire and saved seven people. Someone had purposely started the fire, attempting to kill his ex and his children. I put myself in harm's way to save them. I saved that woman and her children." I explain. Hoodie is so shocked, he is frozen. "I saved seven people, seven. I threw the little boy out from under a collapsing roof. The roof collapsed on me instead."
"How a-about we w-work out?" Hoodie asks. I sigh.
"I don't want to." I tell him. He chuckles.
"Wh-what about if I g-give you some... m-motivation?" He asks slyly.
"Depends on the motivation." I reply. He smirks.
~
I lift my body off the ground, bringing my chest to my knees. I kiss Hoodie, falling back to the ground.
Up. Kiss. Down.
Up. Kiss.. Down.
Up. Kiss... Down.
Up. Kiss.... Down.
Hoodie pushes me down onto the ground. We start making out. I hear a cough.
I quickly pull away, pushing Hoodie off me. I pull my legs to my chest, resting my head on my knees. I cover my face with my hood, my face bright red.
"Geez, get a room." EJ whispers.
"Fuck off, EJ..." I mumble. I hear him scoff.
"Get ready for tomorrow." EJ tells us. I look up, confused.
"What happens tomorrow?" I ask. EJ shakes his head.
"Christmas." He explains. My eyes widen. I quickly jump to my feet, running out the door.
"Shit!"
