Chapter 16

{Cybele}

It's been a while since Alex left. I wonder whats keeping him, I should really go check. I was trying to get up only to have Aiden push me back into the bed.

"If your worried about your brother then I'll go see what's keeping him. Right now you should get some sleep, the nurse said that you can leave in three days, that shot was pretty bad and I bet you it still hurts. So rest up," Aiden ordered me.

"Your not the boss of me," I teased, knowing Aiden will say something. It kind of did still hurt, a little.

"Your right, but I am a prince, shouldn't everyone respect a prince?" Aiden asked me.

"Can you please get me some water? My throats dry," I kindly asked. I'm starting to see a resemblance in me and Alex. Aiden laughed while he got up from the bed and headed towards the door.

"Alex is definitely your brother, it's a good thing I didn't let him get away. Your brother can put up a real good fight," Aiden admitted. A smirk appeared on my face.

"Coming from the prince that could change into any animal he wants to and can also live forever. I believe I remember hearing you were four hundred years old," i admitted while also teasing. Trying to make Aiden feel really old right now.

"Hey, I should consider myself lucky. Your brother almost took off my head and I didn't even use my stupid curse. Like I said, you owe me, and I would like a kiss, and don't even say on the cheek. You know where I mean," Aiden added.

"Oh, you mean on the forehead?" I replied. He started laughing again as he opened the door.

"You know what I mean, I'll be back soon. Now get some sle- Ow!" Aiden yelled. He started hopping on his one foot. Once he saw what it was he quickly ran back inside here and locked the door.

"Aiden! What's going on?" I asked, wondering what just happened. Aiden was still hopping on his one foot.

I tried to get on my feet and I instantly regretted it, pain shot through my chest. I fell on my knees while clutching my hand to the bed sheets and the other one at my chest. Wow! I didn't realize it hurt this much until now.

"Cybele?" Aiden asked, worried filled his voice. He quickly ran over to me and after that there was banging on the door.

"Open up Cybele! Unless you would like to see your brother get killed and this time actually never returned," The person said through the other side of the door. No! It can't be! How in the world was he able to get in here! He... he can't have Alex!

"If you have Alex then prove it!" I shouted back, not wanting to believe what he was saying.

I looked at the door and saw two figures. Someone slapped the other and then started mumbling words that I couldn't make out.

"Cybele! Don't worry about me, just stay with Aiden and get somewhere safe!" Alex warned me. No! Jake did have Alex, and it was all my fault.

I started crying and then for some reason I started feeling a little weaker, probably because of all the pain. I didn't know how much longer I could keep my eyes open, not letting the darkness take over me.

"Cybele! Cybele stay awake! I have to get you out of here before-" Aiden was interrupted after I heard glass break. It sounded like it came from the other side of the room, near the window! After that I heard the door fall onto the ground.

I couldn't make out what happened next, after all that I closed my eyes and fell asleep. My body was in to much pain to stay awake any longer.
