I linger
I'm everywhere you go you see me hiding behind displays
and wish it was me you hear me laughing and giggling about something stupid
you see the smile on my face when I walk by because I'm not as angry as I once was,
I linger inside of the clothes you once wore, inside your wrestling sweater
you still smell my hair
and my perfume you smell everything that we once did
and as much as I wish I didn't leave a scent for you to still smell I did
I hide deep inside your mind
and come out when you're sad because my voice is something that calms you right downsomething that'll hold you right up when you need it the most.
You still linger
Behind my smile
My eyes
My hair
The feel of your hands across my back
You linger constantly
I'm not sorry
But I'm sorry
Just know that I'm here
Always here
I haven't left and I don't want too.
