I Lola Avril is not and would never be under you

My mom dropped me off today again, my second day in school and honestly, all the joy and excitement I felt when she dropped me off yesterday wasn't there. Of course, it can't be, not when I know I have someone who hates me already.

I walked gently into the school hall. No, I wasn't so early like I was yesterday, there are already few students around. I sat at a corner and pull out a novel from my backpack to keep myself busy.

"Mine," I heard the happy scream of a new yet so familiar voice and I turned to see my school daughter walking towards me, all smiles.

"Ani dear, how are you?" I hugged the young girl who's giggling.

She pulled a wrapped box out of her backpack and gave it to me shyly. "what's that?" I asked.

"I told my mom I have a new school mother and she asked me to give it to you, it's chocolate."

My lips curved into a smile, I love chocolates. "Awwn, that's so nice of your mom, thank you and thanks to her."

"What's happening here?" Isa asked, dropping her backpack on the locker.

"Isa,"

"Bella,"

Ani and I said simultaneously.

"Guys, what's up?" Isa rolled her eyes.

I opened my mouth, but before I could reply, the bell rung and we run out to the assembly.

Ani and I stepped into the class, thankfully we are having the same class for first period. I'm surprised I haven't seen the Shane and his girl today, not even on the assembly.

"Babe," I called Ani "I haven't seen them Shane and Tamara today."

Isa dropped her backpack on an empty locker and rolled her eyes, raising a eyebrow. "Don't tell me you are worried."

I scoffed. "Worried, hell no. I was just surprised, I thought they would be bullying people around already."

"They don't come to the assembly." Isa said simply.

I mouthed a "oh" and dropped my backpack on a locker beside her as we took our sit.

I took the novel I was reading earlier and continued to read while Isa had her earpiece plugged in her ears. I saw a figure coming closer and I looked up to see Shane and his girl taking the space behind Isa and I.

We glanced at each other, wondering why the chose the space behind us when there are so many spaces left.

Tamara sneered. "Seems like someone got a friend and someone is adapting real quick."

I could feel my angel rising, but I remained calm and ignored them, Isa doing the same.

"Shane darling, how about we go to the cinema tonight?"

"Nope. Tamara honestly, this won't work, stop throwing yourself at me." I heard Shane and I almost laughed. I glanced at Isa and I could see her trying to conceal her laughter faking a cough.

"But babe, c'mon. Okay, I would pay for the tickets."

"Don't you get it Tamara, I don't care if you want to buy the whole cinema, I'm not going with you." He screamed and and the whole class turned in their direction.

I couldn't help but burst out laughing, same with Isabella, some girl won't stop degrading themselves.

"Stop laughing fools." A hurt Tamara said.
