The school's Bad Boy

Chapter Six: New Friends

                                Girls, Shane is my research partner.

"You and your partner are required to do the research together and should be submitted in two weeks time, at exactly 8am." Mr Donald's baritone's voice covered the whole class. "And when you check the list pasted on your class door, you will find out who your partner is and what your research topic is."

We all stood up and went to the door to check the list. I smiled, Sure my partner would be Isabella. To say I was shocked when I saw my partner would be an understatement.

I rubbed my eyes and looked again. It can't be, I'm not looking at Shane Festus.

"Looks like blond hair here is my partner."

I hissed, I didn't have to turn before knowing it's Shane. "Looks like Mr Donald finally see you need a brilliant student near you." 

I could feel his anger. Okay, that was me being sarcastic, Shane is actually brilliant.

"I don't need you, I'm an A+ student." He snapped.

"Says someone who can't draw." I retorted.

That shut him up, no doubt he's an A+ student, but he can't draw which is why most times, he pay people to help him in drawing.

"Next time, you don't start what you can't finish Festus." I simper.

He walked away to his friends who were watching with interest. Sometimes, I think they love the fact that I always give him a reply instead of being intimidated.

I sat at our usual table at lunch today with Isabella and Tania, Toby sat with his friends at another table.

"Girls, Shane is my research partner." I frowned.

Tania gasped, Isabella doesn't look surprised, of course she knew.

"You are going to get a lot of Tamara's drama now," Isabella Whispered.

"The wicked queen herself," I smirk, that's what Tamara's nicknamed. "I'm ready for her."

Tania seem distracted and I followed her gaze. Well,well, coming to our table is no one other than almighty Shane Festus and his Friend Nathaniel and David.

They arrived at our table and took their sit, with Shane sitting beside me, Nathaniel beside Isabella and David beside Tania.

I look at him questioningly, but he just shrugged.

"Hey ladies," Nathaniel greeted with a mischievous smile on his lips. "We decided to have lunch with you today."

I controlled myself from rolling my eyes.

Nope, we thought you wanted to dance with us.

"I'm Nathaniel, he's David and he's Shane." He introduced them, pointing to each of the guys.

"Do we need to introduce ourselves?" I asked tapping my fingers on the table.

"That would be nice ma'm," he replied.

I can't believe Shane's friend is this polite, I thought they are all the same.

"I'm Lola," I said quietly.

"Isabella,"

"Tania,"

The girls also introduced themselves.

I glanced at Shane, he looked bored, I think he must be forced by his friends to join our table.

"Is that sandwich on your tray?" It was David that spoke, pointing to my tray.
