                                   Diamite story and speech club

I stared at the two grinning girls wondering if I just announced to them that they won lotteries or something. I mean what's the big issh about sleeping over.

I pulled their cheeks. "Girls, it's just a sleepover."

"We know, we are just happy." Isabella replied, still grinning.

Yup, I think Diamond High is better than my former school, though there are some bitches like Tamara and her friends and also the jerk of a King the school has, it's still better.

"Yeah, movies and games." I caught the end of Ani's sentence.

"What's movies and games?" I asked curiously.

"We talking about how we would spend the sleepover and Nia and I decided on movies and games."

Really, these girls are already deciding on how to spend the sleepover, great.

"Oh"

The bell rang for the next period and Isa and I waved to Ani. It's funny how we all had spare at the same time.

Isa and I made it to the next class which we have together. We got to class and Miss Richard was already seated, she's really punctual like Isa said.

"Good morning Miss Richard," Isa and I greeted walking to two empty lockers beside each other.

"Morning," I'm sure Miss Richard didn't even as much as give us a glance, I can tell she's so busy going though her plan.

I glanced around the room and I'm so glad when I did not see, Shane and his guys or Tamara and her girls, I really cannot deal.

"So being the first week or resumption, you guys are to write an essay on how you spend your vacation and that should be submitted next Monday." Miss Richard said in her tiny voice.

A big smile spread on my lips, writing essay is my thing.

Miss Richard dropped the marker she's holding and her eyes roam the class.

"Guys," she cleared her throat. "So I, no the school is thinking of starting a story and speech's club." Everywhere became silent, you could hear a pin drop. "So, this is what the club is all about," she paused before continuing. "The club is all about writing stories and giving speeches. Members of the club would write stories, it might be fiction or not and such stories would be pasted on the school's board and also in the school's news. The Diamite press and the story group would work hand in hand, the press would make sure to feature stories written by the club in their news." She paused for effect, looking around. "Are you guys getting me?"

Murmurs of "Yeah," "Hmm," and "You," could be heard.

"Good," she continued. "So once in a month, the club members would be given a chance to give the school a speech on anything, be it sports, relationship, family, friendship, jobs, might even be a form of enlightenment on maybe an illness, disease, past histories, country and all and I'm sure you guessed right, the speech would be in the school's news."

The whole class applauded her and when it died down, she continued.

"So the club would be called Diamite Story and Speech. Anyone interested should step forward," she finished with a smile.

I jumped up, reading novels, writing stories, speech are what I enjoy most, I don't get bored doing them. I walked to the front of the class all smiles, Isabella and few others joined me, Isabella is also part of the School's press anyways, and since the two goes hand in hand, I'm sure she would cope.
