Something happens to our Starlet? A double whammy today. Stay tuned.

I felt uneasy after a month. I saw more people stare at me. Where is Adam when I need him? I felt safe with him. Even though I saw a few days ago. He wasn’t himself lately after the incident. I sighed walking to my last elective class. I have been passing my classes as well as working at the shop. I told my manager and he felt bad and understood. I saw the same group look at me, they began laughing at me. A girl came up to me, she had specks just like me and had pigtails in her hair. She had an envelope, “Hey are you Starlet?” I nodded. She handed me the envelope and ran off. I looked at it walking away. I began reading it.

Hey Star. Meet me in front of the dorms. After your last class.

I closed it and threw it away. I headed to my last class and sat down. I took notes on the lecture. I kept thinking about what he wanted. I spaced out and realizing people were leaving. My professor came up to me, “Hey you did good on this homework. Could I use to represent to the other classes?” I nodded and rushed to the dorm. I saw Adam standing there. He had black denim jeans with a white muscle shirt. I gazed at his muscles, seeping it into my mind. I walked up to him, “You wanted to see me?” He nodded grabbing my wrist and put me in his truck. He took a scarf and wrapped it around my eyes. “This is a surprise. Don’t take this off until I do.” I bit my lip, “OK, Adam.” We drove in silence until he spoke up and breaking the silence. “So how was your classes today?” I moved my hand around the seat, “It went ok. I got good grades again like always.” He chuckled, grabbing my roaming hand and put it in his. I gulped, feeling my face heat up. “You should help me study sometime. I am bad at my grades.” I smiled, “OK. I will.” He had his fingers tracing mine. He stopped and closed the door. He helped me out and held me close to him as we entered a building. I tried sinking the aroma into my mind. In hopes I could understand where I am. I felt fingers go up my back and to the scarf. He untied it and there before me was my guitar. Good as new and all my old designs were on it. I gasped, holding it close to me. I looked up at Adam. “Adam? How did…” He cut me off, “I had a friend fix it. What do you think?” I almost went into tears, tracing my name with my name with my fingers that were carved in. I put it down and ran to him and hugged him close. “Thank you Adam. I don’t know how to repay you. I will give you mone…” “No Star. I did because…because I…” I looked at him as he stuttered. “Oh to hell with it!” He pressed him lips against mine. I blinked, not knowing what to do.

This was my first kiss. I went with it and kissed him back. I felt more relieved, I wanted more of his lips on mine. I kept going and buried my face in his. I grabbed my guitar and we walked out to the truck and drove away. He held my hand on the way back. “So are you my girlfriend now?” He looked at me and back on his driving. “I looked down thinking for a minute. “OK. Let us give it a try. I…never had a boyfriend before.” He nodded, “I understand.” He kissed my lips again. I didn’t help but smile. He parked and helped me out of the car. The group was standing there. They saw I had my guitar and made faces, hearing muffled sounds about me. I ignored it, holding Adam’s hand as we went to my room. He closed the door and put my guitar down. He put his hands on my face and kissed me more. I blinked and kissed him back. I broke it off smiling. He caressed my cheek and looked in the fridge and got some water. I started playing my guitar as he came up to me. I looked at him, “So Adam. Tell me about yourself. He stopped drinking and went blank. “Well…I lived in a rich family. My parents wanted me to be a lawyer like them since I was a kid. I was always the popular kid. I didn’t want that kind of thing. I wanted to be a doctor. Help others. My parents were ok with it but hoped I was like them. My brothers, two of them are famous lawyers. I just want a change. I can eat anything which is good. You?” I smiled, “Well I am the flower child in the family. The only child.” He laughed, “Lucky.” I continued, “I was the happy kid with my family. As a kid, kids made fun of me. The way I dress and act. I was a vegan, until I had a McDonald’s burger. I want things to be better for me. Not worse. I was the smartest kid in grade school and now. I had no friends which is why you are my only friend.” He hugged me, “Good. I will help you get more friends.” He smelled my scent. What? “You smell good, what is it?” I looked at him and whispered, “Earth.” He looked at me confused, “What do you mean?” I went to my dresser and picked up a green bottle, “It something my mom made me a few months ago. It has that earthly scent. She likes to invent stuff. We make stained glass stuff, I help sometimes too, but I always end up cutting my fingers. It takes a lot of eye coordination.” He looked at me in awe, “That is amazing. I should so mean your parents.” I looked at him, “Uh. I don’t know…Wait a while. They aren’t those people to meet a guy.” He nodded, “OK.” He held me close to him. I could hear his heart beating. I got up, and tripped on my bed, falling to the floor. Adam looked down at me. “Are you ok?” I gave him a thumps up. “Good.” I got up and went to the kitchen about to make some food for us until he stopped me, “Hey. Let me cook for you. You did for me.” I looked at him. “Uh, I don’t recall that I cooked for you. You came over unannounced and I had to give you some of my food.” He laughed, “So. It was damn good. Please, let me. You go do your homework or something.” I groaned, “But I already completed my assignments for this week. I have nothing to do.” He roamed around, “Play your guitar than. Make music while I cook. I like it when you play.” I smiled, walking up to my car and began playing, as he started cooking.

The smell of food cooking roamed the room. I smiled, sniffing the air. I stopped playing and heard my phone ring. I picked it up, “Hey Starlet honey. This is your boss. So the reviews came in for the assistant manager position.” I bit my lip, “OK, sir. What are my results?” He chuckled into the phone, “Well, you won’t be making as much coffees like before. Congratulations on the promotion. Come in tomorrow after school to begin. You money gets raised, which means you can get your own condo like you wanted. I remember tell him that before, I just never mentioned it out loud to anyone, just him. Which reminds me, I would need to tell Adam. I looked at him as he stirred the food. “Thank you sir. I will tomorrow. I am so honored.” I hung up, “So what happened?” I went up to Adam, “Well I got a promotion. But…” He looked at me, “That is so amazing! I am so proud of you. Wait, what do you mean but?” I looked away, “Well I had told him a while back that I was planning on getting a condo if I got the position.” He nodded, looking at the food simmering. “So you are going to be moving?” I nodded. “Yes. And now that we are a thing. Would you like to move in with me? It is going to take a few months to get one.” He smiled, “Well duh. I want to.” I hugged him as I grabbed plates and he served us. We sat down and started eating. “This is so good…Adam what is it?” He smiled, “Chicken alfredo. I guess you never had this kind of stuff?” I shook my head, “No, my mom usually made home cooked vegan meals.” He nodded, gobbling up the food. We cleaned up the dishes as we began talking about the classes. I started helping him study. Showing him math problems and science terms. He began to get the hang of it. He started to get bored, “I am getting tired, let us get some ice cream.” I looked at the clock, “But it is 7:30pm. Where would we get ice cream?” He grinned.

“Welcome to dairy queen. What would you like?” Oh. My. God. I gave him a look as he ordered, “We would like a chocolate creamy sundae please. To go. And big. I blinked and saw the huge ice cream. I am not going to be able to eat all this. I am going to be sick. We drove back and ate inside the room. I went to take a bite until Adam put it in my face. I looked up at him and took some ice cream and smashed it into his face. We started throwing the ice cream at each other and ended up sticky with ice cream. We laughed as we got up. He just stared at me, “What is it?” He smiled and kissed me fully. I could feel the heat rising in us. I felt a shock as our hands touched. I looked down and our hands were glowing. He didn’t see it, but I did. This meant something. I need to talk to mom about it. “Hey I am going to take a shower, turn around so I can get undressed.” He turned around. I took off my clothes and rushed to the bathroom. I swear I thought he looked. I shook it off and took a shower. After I got out and dressed I went and peeked to see what he was doing. He was half naked. He turned to the bathroom and I closed it again. I heard footsteps and next thing you know. I was on the floor looking up at a shirtless Adam. “I saw you, Star. You creeper.” He chuckled, baring his teeth at me. “So…You did too so ha!” He shook his head helping me up. I touched his chest as he helped me up. I felt the heat on his body. “Well I am going to go back to my room. See you tomorrow. I smiled and waved as he closed the door. I rushed to the door and saw him close his.

It was already 9pm. I rushed to the store to pick up a few things, while waiting for my mom to pick up. I sat in the car as the rain started to pour. “Hello? Starlet? Is something wrong?” I gulped, “Well…I met someone.” I heard her gasp, “And…Who is he? Is he cute? Is he vegan?” I smiled at the last question, “No mom he isn’t vegan. And yes he is. Dreamy to be exact. But I had a question. I was holding his hand and electric blue lights glowed on our hands. What is it?” I heard silence after a few minutes I heard her, “Honey. I need to tell you something. I bet you only see it, but it telling you that he is your other half. All females get that on my side. I had it with your father. I never told you this, but I am telling you know. You have powers. You have a spiritual power. I am sorry to tell you. But it is good not evil. I have to go, but please be safe.” She hung and I sat in my car in shock. I got out and went to get some tea. I came out and saw the group from class. I gulped, trying to make no contact with them. “Hey look it is that hippie freak. Where is your rich boyfriend? Not here to safe you?” I ignored them, rushing to my car. I locked my doors. They started yelling and hitting my car. As I was about to drive off, they broke my passenger window. I screamed, driving off. I started crying, didn’t watch where I was going. A car drove quickly at me. I saw them again. They hit my car, make me spin. I screamed. I closed my eyes as my car flipped. I felt my body glowing, but I couldn’t remember what happened after that. Adam? I need you…
