Where am I? I feel so much pain. Am I dead or alive? I can feel it coming back to me now. My car flipped from that group. I saw a white glow in front of me. I tried touching it, I couldn’t.
“Come one Starlet. Come back to us. Wake up. Wake up.”
I couldn’t. How can I wake up? I looked at myself. I was wearing white. All white, flowers surrounded me. I skipped around, seeing nature swirl around me. This isn’t real…What? I looked around again. I saw that it was just an illusion. “Wake up. Please I need you.” Is that Adam. I saw a blurred vision form. I saw his face. He looks so beat up from the sight of me. Mom? Dad? They were next him, crying. I tried reaching out. Come on I need to wake up. I closed my eyes.
“She is waking up.” I fluttered my eyes open. I saw Adam and my parents. “What…happened?” Adam held my face as my parents held my hand. “You got into an accident. A hit and run. Adam here found them…he saved you sweetie.” I saw my mom break out into a sob. I looked at Adam, his face was bruised up again. Bandage was on his face. I tried sitting up, but I couldn’t. I was so weak. My parents were talking to themselves, “Sweetie, your dad and I will be right back. We are getting food. Adam dear? Do you want anything?” He shook his head, still holding his stare at me. Once they left, Adam spoke up. “I went to your room because I was worried about you. You weren’t there so I went driving around to find. I saw what they were doing. I drove after them and started attacking them. I called the cops and they have them all in custody. I got you, I am sorry. I wish I was there sooner.” I pulled him toward me and kissed him. “It is ok. I am fine...ish.” He kissed me back. My parents came back and saw us. My mom gave me that look. I remember we spoke about. “Mom, dad…Adam? I want to show you something.” I grabbed Adam’s hand. Feeling the shock come slowly. Our hands started glowing blue. They began to see it. “Oh….Honey I knew it. Adam, do you see it?” He nodded, gazing at it. “Adam? Starlet? This is something rare that could happen. It happened once to us, but you both are strong together. Especially you Starlet.” I looked at my parents. I looked at Adam and smiled. He smiled back, kissing my cheek.
“Honey. We are going home. Your car is getting fixed right now so by the time you get out, it will be fixed. We love you. Adam, please keep her safe. Bye.” They left, leaving me and Adam. Adam looked at me, caressing my fingers. He pressed his lips against mine, not moving. After a while he held me to him and brushed my hair. The nurse came in smiling, “OK. You are feeling good from what the doctors said. I have your release papers and pain pills. After signing, you are free to go.” I signed the papers and made Adam turn around. Getting dressed, seeing the bruises all over my body. I but a dress on with boots and went to Adam. He held me as we left into his truck. He held my hand as we finally parked at the dorms. It looked normal. He picked me up and carried me to my room, “Adam, I am heavy. You don’t have to do this.” He smiled, walking up the stairs, “I am fine.” He opened the door and laid me in the bed. He closed my door and sat on the bed with me. “How are feeling? Do you need anything?” I shook my head, “No Adam. I am fine.” My phone rang and I picked it up. “Hey, Starlet. How are you feeling? I heard you got into an accident. I am fine with that. Once you feel better, you can come into work. See you soon.” He hung up. Adam kissed me, hovering over my body. I tried moving. He stopped the kiss. “Adam, I need to tell you something. I want to wait. Once I am married. The whole sex thing. I vowed that to my parents.” I bit my lip, “It is ok, Star. I understand. I can wait.” I smiled as I got up slowly. I heard a honk outside. I went to the window and saw my beetle parked outside. I smiled, glad that it is back. Good as new. I went to Adam, putting my face into his chest. “Star? Can we do that…thing?” I tilted my head confused until he put his hand up. Oh that glow. I put my hand in his and it started glowing. “I love you Starlet. I mean it.” I smiled up at him, “I love you too, Adam.”
