Sorry for the wait everyone. I have been busy lately. The concert was fantastic. Got tired, but met some pretty awesome band members. Cuties too haha. Went home around two in the morning. But who cares. We want a story, right? Well today some twist and turns are ahead. Please, enjoy.
Here I am, with a clipboard in hand and at the mall where we are getting stuff for the reception. All I saw was Adam skipping around, picking several of items. “Adam, not the TV! We don’t need it!” He looked at me as he already scanned the item. “Too late!” I huffed as I walked away. Someone came and put their hands on my eyes. “Guess who!” A high pitched voice broke out. It was Claire. We became friends during college and now she is my best friend. She came to help me out because she is my maid of honor. I smiled, hugging her as we saw Adam gazing at some cake toppers. “Adam, I wanted to have one made. Remember?” He nodded, “Sorry. I forgot.” After we finished, Adam left as me and Claire went to go for dresses. I called my mom, “Hey. We need you so we can get a wedding dress.” “OK, sweetheart.” I went to pick my dresses as Claire waited for my mom. I found almost five dresses. It was an earthly themed wedding, so I needed something with green in it. My mother came in, tripping over her shoes. She smiled as I went into the fitting room, trying on my first dress. I came out, waddling because the dress was tight around my legs. Claire and my mom shook their heads, I walked back. Came back wearing another dress, very short and fluffy. Everyone made a face. I twirled, making it show my bare butt. Shaking heads of no. I sighed, walking back to the fitting room. I dressed into my last outfit. Flowing like a goddess. The smiles grew and I smiled as I saw the dress. I twirled around, being able to dance in it. I wasn’t able to get the green hash but oh well. I picked my shoes and other items. I came out, dressed and waited to schedule my appointment for a fitting. I smiled as we all walked.
“I am hungry. Let us getting something to eat.” We all agreed as we went to eat. We all finished and headed home. Claire dropped me off at the apartment. I skipped inside the room and saw it was empty. “Adam?” I looked out the window and saw his truck outside. I sighed as I saw his figure leaning on the truck. He looked like he was talking to someone else. I rushed downstairs to go check. “Adam?” Not a minute later, I saw a female. I looked closer, kissing. “What the hell is going on??” He shoved the girl off. I grew angry, “Star? Don’t do it!” Plants grabbed her, wrapping her body. “Who is this Adam? Why did YOU kiss her?” He shook his head, “I didn’t kiss her, and she did. She is an ex of mine. So damn obsessed with me.” I squinted, locking my gaze into his mind. I was able to go into his mind. She was the one. “If that is the case, I will squish her like a damn bug than.” I started wrapping tightly. “Stop!” I let go and growled at him, storming to the apartment. I saw a red letter on the table. Addressed for me. I opened it, reading it. I had to go on a business trip to London for a couple of weeks. I might take the offer, it is after my fitting. Adam came in, I looked at him. “I am sorry that happened. It won’t happen again.” I smacked him, leaving a red hand print on his cheek. “It better not. I can read into your mind. Remember that. Do you still want to marry me?” He nodded, grabbing my hands. I shook his hands off, “I have to go on a business trip in a couple of weeks. The day after my fitting.” He nodded, “Ok. That is fine. Gives me time to set up some more stuff.” I nodded, hugging him. It is hard to me mad at him. He held me close to him.
A couple weeks went by. I went to my fitting and got everything ready for my wedding in a month. I had my bag packed to go to the airport. Adam was taking me to the airport. At the airport, I held onto Adam. “Just stay relaxed when I am gone. Mom and Claire are going to take care of the wedding. Helping you with it. They will be calling me and you some of the times I am not busy. Will you be alright?” He nodded, “I will be. Be safe.” He kissed me and kissed my forehead. I left to the gates and sat down. I closed my eyes, falling asleep.
“Ma’am? We are here in London.” I woke up, grabbing my stuff and rushing out. It has been so fast. I saw my driver, and waved. “Hello.” He smiled, “Hello, miss. Ready to go to the hotel. It is near the lab you will be going to for the couple weeks.” I nodded as we drove off. Seeing how beautiful London looks. I gazed out as I saw the hotel. I went inside and to my room. It was really. I put everything down and called Adam. “Hey, I made it. Yea it was nice. Ok good. Just let Claire know to keep the dress at her place. No you may not. I said so. The TV has to stay boxed up till I am there. Too bad. You can’t show it off.” A knock was heard, “Hey sorry. Have to go. Love you. Bye.” I hung up and opened the door. A tall stud was at my door. “Sorry, were you busy?” His accent hit my like a ton of bricks. His wavy dark blond hair moved with his head. I gulped, “No. I just got off the phone. Come in.” He came in and sat down in one of the lounge chairs. “My name is Thomas. I am part of the research department at the lab.” I shook his hand, “I am Starlet. Same but at the U.S.” He nodded and grinned at me. “So would you like to go for some dinner with me?” I nodded, grabbing my purse and coat. “Sure.”We sat at a café near the hotel and had some green leaf tea with our pastas. “How do you like it here so far, Ms. Howell?” I smiled, “Oh it is wonderful.” He chuckled, “I could show you around some time. Because we will be working a lot.” I nodded, “I will take up that offer.” He smiled, “Glad to hear.” We finished up and started walking back to the hotel. It grew dark and cold. I started shivering, “You must be cold, please take my jacket.” I shook my head, “Oh no. I shouldn’t. Please.” It was too late. We were at my door, “Thank you for dinner. See you tomorrow at the lab.” He nodded and walked away. I went inside and took a shower. I was tired and went to sleep.
“Good morning everyone. This is our American researcher, Starlet.” I waved and greeted everyone. We started our meeting and then working on our plants. I brought my special plant and observed it and took notes. Thomas came behind me, breathing on my neck. It gave me chills, “Very interesting plant. Is it new?” I nodded, “Yes. I haven’t figured out what it is yet. I need to know so I can name it.” He nodded, observing the leave stems and flower sprout let. We kept working for a while until it became night time. I yawned and left to go eat. Saying goodbye. After eating, I went to shower and sleep.
A couple of weeks went by and it was my last day. Thomas was great company from the trip. I had some coffee and toast, hearing a knock on the door. I opened it, seeing Thomas. “Oh hello. Ready to go on a tour of London?” I nodded, cleaning up and grabbing my stuff to go. I held onto his arm as he gave me a tour of London. We went all around seeing so many stores. I went to a gift shop and bought everyone gifts when I went back home. We had lunch, laughing about our family. I told him about the wedding and he will be coming. We spoke and continued the tour. “How are liking it so far, Starlet?” I nodded, “It is marvelous.” He looked at me as we walked, “You are so beautiful, Starlet.” I blushed, “Thank you, Thomas.” Around night, we ate at a restaurant and talked more. After he took me back to the hotel for the last night. We were at the door. “Thank you for today. I will miss London. I hope to see you…” He kissed me, not leaving a warning. I pushed him off, “I am engaged, Thomas. Please. I…I need to leave.” I went inside, locking the door. “I am sorry. Fly safe.” Footsteps walked away. I sighed, sliding to the ground and holding myself. After a few minutes, I got up and packed everything for tomorrow morning. I went to sleep. Being so tired.
I was in the plane, watching as I had left London behind. I closed the window and leaned back in the chair as I waited. Finally getting off, I see Adam waiting for me. I ran and kissed him. “I missed you so much. How was the flight?” I smiled, “It was fine. Let us go home. I am hungry and want to get busy with the wedding. It is in a few weeks. We got home and ate dinner. I looked at the list. Making sure everything was all set. I smiled as we fixed his TV up in the room. “Are you happy now?” He looked me, “Yes. I am. Now we can put this in our room.” He took the other TV and put it in our room. I took a shower, and saw Adam already in bed. I snuggled up against him, feeling his heartbeat. “I missed this.” He laughed, “I know. So did I.” We snuggled close together falling asleep. Dreaming of my wedding to come, with my future husband.
