You didn't know when it happened; in fact you almost felt bad for not paying any attention until Naruto told you how awesome it was that Kakashi had lowered his guard from them pretending to spoil his stupid book, rather than through a more honourable shinobi way.

Your gaze was affixed at another white haired man nearby, but unlike you, he was clearly focused on their battle. The reason you lost focus had been simple; Shizune had came up to you earlier to ask if Jiraiya had tried anything inappropriate with you yet. You were relieved to know that he hadn't bothered trying well, whatever it was he tried with the other girls, with you.

But still your mind wondered; was there something wrong with you that he didn't even bothered putting an ounce of effort?

No no... there's something wrong with him instead.

"Good work. You've caught me." Kakashi's voice would snap you back into reality. "... It's underhanded but it is a shinobi's job to pry into the innermost weakness."

"Then they should have simply roped (Y/N) in with them." Tsunade chuckled but continued immediately. Wait, what? "But good job you two. From now on, the four of you officially make Team Kakashi. Get plenty of rest for the time being. We'll give you your first mission tomorrow."

Kakashi looked exhausted, that you almost felt sorry for him even though you knew he probably had more energy than you right now. "Buckle up, guys. You're no longer my students anymore so from now on our relationship will be that of colleagues. Especially you, Naruto. I hope you remember that."

Sakura, however, didn't miss the whole thing that transpired earlier with Tsunade. She gave you a funny look to which you only shrugged your shoulders at. Honestly though, you have no idea what the Hokage was getting at.

"Not that you were my student before, (Y/N)," Kakashi turned his attention to you. "But you get my drift."

"I get it."

Sakura pouted. "I don't."

You laughed nervously, knowing that you'll probably be grilled for it later despite not understanding the situation yourself. Tsunade and Shizune promptly made their leave, citing work on their plate, but you could have sworn that they were headed to the bar instead.

Naruto and Sakura were talking about going on a date, though it was one sided on Naruto's part. You were definitely not going anywhere near them for the time being as you're sure that the pinkette would bombard you with endless questions and there was definitely no way you were going to entertain any of that.

As you were trying to make your way home, you noticed Jiraiya trailing after, and you raised an eyebrow at what he might want with you.

"Going home so early?" The Sannin asked, a cheeky smile on his face. "I hate to pretend like I didn't noticed a beautiful, young woman's stare on me the whole night."

"Erm..."

"So how about it? Do you want to go for a drink with me?"

Oh! I am normal after all!

"I'll pass." You crossed your arms to make a huge X. "You should probably get going too, that is unless you want to deal with my overprotective sister and her... partner."

"Kurenai and Asuma, huh." Jiraiya trailed off thoughtfully. "It does sound troublesome. Well, maybe another time."

The man chuckled profusely and you secretly wondered if he already had something to drink to begin with. You waved him goodbye, turning to make your way home. It was then you saw Kakashi waiting for you underneath a tree and your eyebrows raised inquisitively.
