"I can't believe it"
"Well believe it"
"I want your life" Okay so you're probably thinking I told Zoey my secret. Wrong!
"No you don't. You yourself called Ashton a grade A douchebag."
"Have you seen this house, and this lifestyle I want it. I am so jealous." It was currently the first week of winter break. Belle and Carter were at work while and the twins were off at a friends house for the a sleepover. Justin had left for two weeks to spend Christmas with his family in California. He's flying back out to meet me on December 30th for Belle's New Years Eves gala and then we fly out to the Maldives for the week.
"I guess i'm used to it. "
"I remember your old house, man that pool is like life goals forever." I felt a wave of sadness come over me at the mention of my old house. The house was left to me for when I turn 18 along with my father's company.
"I didn't mean to bring up your family."
"No, it's fine Zoey. It's been 8 years, it's not easy, but it's not exactly horrible anymore." It definitely didn't hurt to speak about them as much as it did in the beginning. "So tell me what's new in your life?" I ask in a desperate attempt to change the subject.
If she senses my sudden change in subject, she says nothing by it. "My dad got remarried."
"What happened to your mom?" I ask remembering that her family was still together when I left. I remember coming over to her house when I was younger for sleepovers. It would always be a fun time because her parents would always take us to this little diner for milkshakes. I always wished that our family did that as a family.
"They split up when I turned 12." She stops before adding "and then he remarried" she adds dryly.
"I'm assuming you don't like your new step-mother?" I question taking her sour face into consideration.
"It's not that I don't like my new step-mom it's her son that's my new step-brother that I hate."
"Oooo, spill" I gossip.
'His name is Felix and I hate him with a passion. He doesn't acknowledge my existence. We're the same age, but he's a jock and I'm a nerd. He doesn't give me a second glance. Thankfully I only have to spend the weekdays at my dads. I spend weekends with my mom and her fiance at the other side of town."
"Wow, that sounds rough. I bet you that's what's going to happen when i go back to school with Ashton and Ayden."
"Please, your the shiny new toy on the first day of preschool"
"Did you just quote twilight" I question humored.
"Yes, yes I did!" she states firmly which causes me to break into a fit of giggles.
"Hey, do you wanna go to grab some milkshakes at that diner?" I question after I've calmed down from my giggle fit.
"Only if we take your car, because have your seen it. It's gorgeous. I want your Bentley" she whines.
"I like your Jeep Wrangler. Even if it's an older model, it's still cute."
"We can switch, you take my 2010 Jeep Wrangler and I'll take your 2018 Bentley Bentayga."
"Nice try, i'll follow you to your house so you can drop off your jeep, and they were take my car to the diner. My treat." I offer.
"Fine, question is: How did you afford a $100,000 car?" She questions in disbelief.
"Inheritance, working, my crude of an uncle. All were factors I guess." Telling her honestly.
"I keep forgetting that someone over here is miss richie rich." She coughs sarcastically.
