After hours of shopping, walking, running, sitting in content, whispering between Kyra and I, yelling between everybody else, we finally exit the mall, arms full. There were so many people in that mall it was overwhelming. And there were so many shops we didn't even cover half the floors even though we spent nearly six hours in that building, if you can even call it that.

I'm grateful to make it out alive of that place in one piece! Kyra made me buy so many clothes and products. I have no idea where we are going to put it all. Especially since I haven't seen any of their personal belongings anywhere we've been, nor have I been to a place where they seemed to stay permanently. These nomads are crazy. Crazy rich people! They spent so much on me-- a stranger-- without me even asking for any of it. It seems they have a big heart but I'm suspicious. They could always have masqued intentions like most of the people I've met aforetime.

An uneasy confused smile is plastered on my face, Hayden reaches in my bags for the checks. I glance at Kyra as she gives me a nervous smile. We must have spent a shit load of money... Hayden seems to be very concentrating on calculation this amount. Kyra nudges me on the shoulder:

"Don't worry, he usually doesn't mind that much when I spen--"

"WHAT IN THE WORLD?" Hayden shouts out, giving Kyra a murderous look.

Ky, seeming to read his ominous expression, murmurs to me a piece out before sprinting in the other direction.

"I'm gonna kill you, you little shit!" Hayden hollers, enraged.

"You gotta catch me first!" We all hear Kyra tauntingly scream back as she fades out of view.

With this, Hayden sprints into action and runs after her, leaving a trail of dust behind. I stare at their shrinking silhouettes for a while before turning over to Lennox. On his face was plastered an expression of utter despair. Not being able to contain myself, I start laughing discreetly.

"You guys are so weird," I whisper, hiding the beginning of a smile.

Lennox spins his body around to face me with a curious expression on his face. I try to keep an air of innocence with much work but my lips are quivering from the effort of keeping my mouth sealed shut. He just stares at me and lets out a sigh of defeat.

"Are they always like this?" I ask, curious, trying to get more information about this mysterious trio.

Lennox shrugs his shoulders and says: "Most of the time yeah. You get used to their shenanigans."

He turns back to where his companions disappear with a slight smile on his face.

But still so many questions run through my head: what were the weird powers Hayden had? What are they? What to they want from me? Do they have ulterior motives? And most importantly, where the heck did they run off to?

My thoughts were interrupted as I feel a tap on my shoulder. I jump, surprised. I turn around in the direction of the pat and stumble backwards. I try to steady myself but it's too late, I was destined to fall flat on my butt. Waiting the impact of the floor, I feel two strong arms hold me up and help me regain my balance. Once steady, the strong arms release me. Flustered, I turn around to see who they belong to. Hayden is standing there, giving me a sly smirk and I feel my cheeks heat up. Damn it Ava keep it together. I turn back around quickly so he couldn't notice the effect our contact just had on me, but by the snicker emitted behind me, it was useless.

I finally say that Kyra is the culprit of my scare. She gives me an apologetic smile but a look that says I didn't know you scared so easily.

Still flustered, I look around at my companions to see if any of them would explain to me what we are going to do next. Lennox seems to read my mind:

"Hay, do you think we should head home and deposit all this," he gestures at all the bags, "in a safe place. I mean it is worth a lot of money."

I look down in embarrassment whilst Kyra grunts in approval.

"Not quite yet," Hayden intervenes, "but I can make a quick trip and bring it for you."

And with that he takes all the bags from my hands and, well, disappear. In a blink of an eye he isn't there, leaving only air in front of me. I stare blankly and the empty space, eyes gaping. Lennox clears his throat and I notice my mouth is wide open. I quickly close it. I blink twice as if that is going to make him magically reaper-- what? He's back standing there. Smirking at me and my confused state. He walks by my limp body as my mind tries to comprehend what happened.

"What's up with her?" Hayden questions.

I can practically hear the smirk in his voice. I roll my eyes

"That was so uncalled for Hay" Ky sighs.

Get yourself together, Ava! Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. Once my emotions get in check, I turn around and face the trio.

"What drug did you give me?" I half-ask, half-accuse them.

An evil smirk grows on his face as he stares into my eyes. I can make out the flakes of gold in his mesmerizing purple eyes of his. It sucks me in like an ocean. I could stare at them for-- damn it Ava! Keep your hormones in check. But I still couldn't get my mind off the empty void that is present in his eyes. That and the drug question. All of their beautiful lips were sealed. I wasn't getting an answer. My shoulders sag.

"What now?"

" Do you know, by any chance, the music group the Beatles?" he interjects.

"Euhm, yeah?" I answer unsure of where his point is leading on to.

Mischief grows in his eyes as he says these unsettling words:

"Well not for long..."
