What happens when you mess with the past? Can you actually change the future? How far would the universe go to maintain this balance?
Haidyn, a broken hearted boy, will go to any lengths to mess with Universe as she was the cause of all his sorrow...
You know how after a day of doing nothing and just chilling, you get to that point where you are bored out of your mind and nothing can help you? Well, that's me right now. I am curled up on the sofa with Scout and I don't know what to do.
Pushing away my laziness, I finally decide to go look around the condo. I go up to the second floor. I am curious about all the junk taking up all the space in my soon-to-be room. I open the door to the guest room, and start a coughing fit. When was the last time, they cleaned this place? A thick layer of dust covers every inch of the extremely cluttered room. I open the light and journey into the room filled with nick nacks and doohickeys. The first thing that drawn my attention is a very old bookshelf filled with books of all sizes. I take one out and dust it off. Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. I open it, curious, only to find something very particular. Inside it was signed by the author and a message was written. To Hayden, a very bright young man. I am proud to call you a friend." and with it there is a black and white photo. I pick it up and hold it eye-level so I can properly see who is in it. There, there is whom I presume to be Dickens and Hayden, looking the exact same as he does right now, but with a wide grin on his face.
This can't be possible. Dickens was an author in the 19th century! How could Hayden have met him? How can he look the same as he did centuries ago?
Perplexed by what I found I put the book back and take another one out. Hamlet, by William Shakespeare. I frantically open the book to look for a note. To my demise, there is one. But this time not to Hayden, but to the twins. "To the most magnetic duo I have ever met. Thank you for helping me get through my writer's block. I will forever be grateful. ~William Shakespeare"
Well, this isn't weird at all... I put down the book before I can be more disturbed and move on to another section of the room. I find a top hat on a shelf and dust it off. It's written: "Abraham Lincoln's almighty top hat."
How did they even get this? And what else does this treasure room have...? More importantly, what the hell!?
I pick up a scrappy looking teddy bear. There is a small piece of paper attached to its ear, on it is written : "Original Winnie the Pooh teddy bear."
How cool and weird is this.
I put it down and move to glass case with a rifle in it. on the top is inscribed : "The rifle which assassinated John F. Kennedy."
Creepy.
It's gonna take me weeks to get through all of this junk! I look through signed records, historical artifacts that I would have thought were in museums, letters, pictures of the trio at times and places with people that it's impossible they were with.
"Find anything interesting?" I jump out of my skin hearing a voice coming from the doorway. It is Lennox giving me a playful grin.
"Shit you scared the crap out of me!" I put a hand over my heart to feel it still pounding hard.
"Sorry about that." Lennox picks up a signed baseball and smiles down at it. "You wouldn't want Hayden to find you here. He doesn't like people touching his stuff."
"How did you guys get all this stuff in the first place? Most of these things should be and museums. And don't even get me started on the pictures! This must be photoshopped, right? You couldn't have possibly met someone from the 15th century..." I question out of breath from the heaviness of them. I need to know. I need to understand. To prove to myself I have not gone crazy.
"I'm sorry Ava but I can't give you the answers you are searching for. I know right now you feel scared and confused, but everything will be clear when the time is right." He gives me a sad smile.
"But when will the time be right?" I try to push him.
"Only Hayden can give you the answers you seek. But good luck getting them out of him." And with those words he leaves me alone, dumbfounded and even more confused than I was before.
I stay in my spot trying to make sense of what he just told me. Is there a reason I am here? What does Hayden have to do with me? Why can't anyone else tell me? I'm getting frustrated. Very frustrated. Not at anyone in particular but at the situation. Sometimes I wish I had never left Burnaby...
I opt for not getting caught by Hayden remeniging through his stuff so I go down stairs and join the others. Wait a minute... Where's Scout? I look around but I can't see him anywhere.
"Scout! Where are you buddy?" I whisper shout around the floor.
But my efforts are to no prevail. I can't seem to find that little bugger anywhere. He'll pop up somewhere sooner or later. I comfort myself, thinking there is no possible way he found his way out of the apartment. I walk down the stairs but stop when I hear shouting coming from the living room.
"You need to explain something Hayden! You can't just keep this *human* here and expect her to bend over!" Kyra assertively says.
"Yeah, Hayden. Just explain something, at least to us." Lennox adds, a little less agitated.
"I don't need to explain myself to anyone." Hayden venomously responds. "You follow me no matter what. Unless you want me to dumb you back where you came from. Do not test me again."
"You're such a selfish bastard!" Ky spits at him before storming out, the smack of the door resonates through the condo.
"Sometimes you suck dude." Lennox adds before heading in another direction.
Hayden is left alone and I don't have any idea what to do. I decide to go back upstairs, best to leave Hayden to himself and his bad mood.
