OK, so it turns out Hayden was kidding about the whole magic affair. Well... I think. You know why I think so? It's because we are hiding in the bushes right now... well I am anyway. They stuck me here twenty minutes ago and left me without even telling me where they are going. Yay me! I have no clue what I have to do so I sit my butt down with my back pressed against the building where the bushes are. What? They didn't give me any information or instructions. Hayden just decided to let me rot here on my own saying I would just mess everything up.

My mind wanders off and I talk to myself without actually being able to get a single word out of my head and into the world. Magic. He must be really crazy to think that I would believe that that kind of thing exists in reality. But then again how did I get here? To be honest, I want to believe in a bigger power than people. Magic as portrayed by books, by stories and by myths as the highest power one could wield. As a young girl, I wished I could wave a wand around and make all my troubles disappear. I wished I could meet my parents, I wished the bullies would stop harassing me. In my head, magic doesn't exist. It can't exist because it's illogical and absurd but I feel my heart says otherwise. My heart believes in magic. I'm still a little girl searching for love. Just drop it Ava. You're probably imagining this whole little adventure. Your just dreaming. Get over this!

With a huff, I pick up some rocks and start throwing them at the bush next to the one I'm hiding in out of boredom. I mean I can't just leave. How am I going to get back to anyplace I actually know? I could just run away and live in 1960s New York... I could meet the Beatles, live the normal life.

I start getting up from in the bush and dust myself off when I hear my name being called with much urgency: "AVAAAAA!!!!!" someone screams in the distance making me jump six feet in the air and frantically look around. "HE'S COMING YOUR WAY!"

I see a middle-aged man, whom I can only assume is the oh-so-famous interviewer, running for his life with the twins hot on his tail. This is it. I say to myself. I'm lacking a bit of confidence here if I need to be honest. You can do this. Come on Ava!

As he runs by, I close my eyes and lunge forward. Leaping like a frog toward Ed Sullivan. My body smacks into someone and I circle my arms around him as we topple over on the ground. Just behind me, I sense two bodies falling as well. I think Lennox just smacked into Kyra...

I open my eyes to assess the situation and look up with a wide grin on my face. But my victorious smile does not last long as I realize who it is I just tackled. Oh my God... I'm so screwed now. Under me, sprawled over the street surface, lies a scowling Hayden, looking about ready to rip my head off. My whole face heat up as warmth trickles down in my cheeks and travel to my neck and my ears when I scan our bodies and I realize the compromising position Hayden and I are in. My arms are tied around his waist and my face is on the same level as his stomach. At least we didn't hit the ground to hard since Hayden absorbed most of the impact of the falls with his hands.

I quickly stand up and feel my whole face go crimson. This is it world. It was nice knowing you.

Hayden slowly stands up, brushes off his clothes and looks directly at me. I avoid eye contact by looking everywhere else but at him. He approaches me like a predator who's trapped his pray and I can feel the twins backing up. I hear him inhale and then it starts.

"Ava," he says calmly through his teeth, his eyes betraying the calm look portrayed by his face, "Can you please explain to me what exactly you were trying to do by tackling me?"

"Euhm... just trying to help." I mutter still not making eye contact. His mask falls off as my words reach his ears.

"Helping? You call THAT helping?! Well, then you should just stop trying to help and actually do something useful with your life!" I flinch at these words screamed at me.
