To The Stars {Peter Quill/Star-Lord} (ON HOLD)

Chapter 1

Xandar, 26 Years Later-

                Xandar.  Its been a long time since I last saw this place.  Almost as long as it has been since I’ve seen Earth, and my mother.  I look around, memories flooding back filled with sadness.

                “Hey, Laver, stop daydreaming and give us a hand here.”’ said Rocket, my companion since he broke me out of prison a few months back ‘And tell Groot to stop drinking the damn fountain water!” With that he went back to looking for people to turn in for

                I looked over at Groot to see him drinking water out of a fountain “Groot, that’s disgusting.” I simply said.

                “I am Groot.” He replied as he normally did, and then started drinking the water again.

                “Laver, get over here, I didn’t break you out of prison for nothing.” Said Rocket

                “Yeah, you broke me out for 50,000 units.” I mumbled to myself. “What do you need Rocket?”

                “You’re pretty good at stealing, right?” he asks me.

                “Ummm, yeah that’s what I’ve done since I was 10.” I replied bluntly.

                “Have you ever stolen a person?”

                I just looked over at him rolling my eyes, ready for whatever he was about to make me do “Who is it?”

                “That guy over there,’ he said pointing over to a man flirting with a Xandarian woman ‘hes got a big price on his head, but you need to keep him alive.”

                “I wasn’t planning on killing him anyway Rocket.” I said as I looked back over to him.  He looked kind of familiar, almost as if we had talked before.  Rocket called Groot and I back over to him

                “Here’s what we’re gonna do,” started Rocket “First, Sam is going to go over to him and try to lure him over closer to Groot and I.  Groot will bag him and if he resists I’ll just shoot him then put him in the bag.”

                “I am Groot.”

                “I know its not that well thought out, but I really couldn’t care less.  Sam you start heading over there, and I don’t know, seduce him or something.” Rocket said waving me off.

                “Really Rocket?” I said.

                “Just go over there!” he said slightly pushing me “Think of the money!”

                I began to casually walk over to the store he had just entered, not wanting to be noticed.  I just couldn’t understand how I recognized him.  I felt like I hadn’t seen him in a long time, if I even had.  I soon started to close in on where he was, and started to hear yelling.  I ran a bit faster over to him and saw him and some green lady beating each other up on the floor.  I ran up to them, and kicked the green girl in the stomach.

                “I’ll be taking him, thank you very much!” I said as I tried to lift him up.

                “What are you doing?!” he frantically asked me, right as the green girl punched me in the face. 

                I looked up at her in shock and said “Oh, honey, you didn’t.” then punched her in the stomach multiple times.

                “ I am not honey to you!” she said, grabbing my hand then kicking me onto the ground. Just then Rocket and Groot came up behind me.

                “Now, there's no need to be violent is there?” Rocket said as he began to load his gun.  The green lady then grabbed an orb on the ground and began to run to the other side of the path.  The man we were trying to capture then shot some rope to go around her feet and she fell.

                “Yeah!” I yelled, just as the orb fell to the ground.  The guy just looked at me confused, probally wondering why I cheered for him.  Groot picked her up but she got out her sword and chopped off his arm and jumped down to retrieve the orb.  I then realized the man we were trying to capture had left.

                “Groot! Rocket! Hes down there!” I yelled down to them as I saw him running towards the green girl.  They both went down as fast as they could and I followed.  Groot somehow managed to bag him, but then he got out of the bag and stunned the green lady, took the orb and began running. 

                I looked over to Rocket, as he began to turn on his gun.  “This might hurt.” He said as he shot, electrocuting him.  I then felt myself being lifted off the ground, only to see Nova Prime ships picking all of us up, including Rocket, Groot, Greenie, and it seemed the dude was being escorted.

                “Oh, great,” I said to myself “back to prison.”

Sorry if this chapter wasn’t that good, I couldn’t really figure out how to start it.  I promise that in the next chapter, I will say what happened to Samantha over the 26 years, and the Peter and her will remember each other (I just needed them to meet again here).
