Chapter V

Flashback: Jessica's Training.


Jessica's hands bled, her knuckles were cut open and dripping. Lu Wei whacked her with a metal staff since the wooden one broke in half when she whacked her pupil the last time. Jessica struck the dummy in front of her while standing on a narrow surface, only the soles of her feet fit..

WHACK -

Jess groaned but ignored the pain and continued practicing her form. Hours later Jessica was carrying a boulder on her upper back that weighed 23,500 lbs (Like a school bus.) She walked up a steep hill that led to a long flight of stairs. She dropped the rock at the top of the stairs later on. Lu Wei gave the strained Jessica a pat on the head.



Jessica trained with a wooden Wing Chun dummy, she had perfect form. Lu Wei took Jessica to a garden and the two drank tea, Jessica smiled for the first time since she'd been there.



*Jessica was now running across hot coals while blocking incoming knives with her ninja blade. She made it to the end with no damage to her feet. Lu Wei bowed, Jessica returned the bow to her master.



Jessica stood side by side her teacher and they practiced various forms together, Jess was now mirroring her master and her training was completed. She had only one trial left to face.




Jessica was put in a dark arena with some of the best students in the hand. She would have to face all her peers and beat them in combat...but there was a cache....

She had to fight them all at once. She was allowed one weapon, she chose a Katana... when the incense was lit, it began to burn, if she were to survive till it burned out, she would complete her training. Jessica fought all twelve of her peers in a battle where the odds were not in her favor....eventually it came down to her and two other students. She fought them relentlessly till she knocked one out with the hilt of her blade and then hit the last one with the dull edge of her Katana, striking him on his shoulder and neck and then headbutting him to the floor. She could clearly kill them if she wanted but used non-lethal methods...Lu Wei accepted this but due to the outcome, controversy ignited about whether she was HAND material or not. Due to this, Jessica was now a target of other members, some tried to take an attempt on her life.


Jessica was sleeping till a band of guys grabbed her and held a knife to her throat, they brought her to the garden and beat her, she didn't defend herself..she didn't want to be caught fighting them. Lu Wei was on her way to the garden that night, but the guys didn't know that. They shoved her around in a circle, each taking a fair shot at her, then they grabbed her by her hair and slammed her face into the dirty ground, her lip was busted as she groaned in pain.. one of them shook his head at the other and took out a knife, preparing to cut open her throat...


SHHHHRING


All of the men's heads fell to the floor as Lu Wei put the blade she held back in it's case. She rushed to Jessica's aid and took her to the healing room.

Present Day:

Jessica was in a hotel surrounded by the cases of money Lu Wei left behind for her. She checked out and began searching for someone to help her. She lost all her contacts due to them not knowing who she was anymore, and she didn't exist in this reality. She walked over to one of the cases that she hadn't opened and found a business card...it read;
