It took only one click and a few words to find out who Dru Olivia Saint really was. Born to two young and blissful parents,  Sarah and Paul Saint were two birds in love. They never thought they could love anyone else more until little Dru came along. She was a very happy and independent baby, walking before age 1 and playing in the front yard with the other neighbourhood kids. But as soon as Sarah had taken her eyes off of her child when the phone rang inside, she was gone without a trace. Frantic, she screamed out for her baby, calling the police and her neighbours and her husband. She was only two years old when they took her. Easy to manipulate when they're young, that's why she was taken. It was like taking candy from a child; or should I say, taking a child from a distracted mother.

The girl wasn't found until 14 years later, long after the case was declared unresolved, long after she was declared most likely dead, long after her parents lost their love for each other. But, with the help of social services and thanks to the missing children's database, images of the girl when she was young were professionally matched to the girl that was found only recently.

"Dru, can we talk for a moment?" Melinda had come into her room, after Dru just had her lunch. She was munching on her jelly and her eyes were glued to the kids show that played on the TV. She nodded absent mindedly, and Melinda picked up the remote and changed it to the News channel, despite Dru's obvious silent protest.

Images of a car crash flashed on the screen, then the two mugshots of her bosses showed up.

"Following the malicious attack on the young girl, who has been remained nameless for her safety, the two suspects driving the vehicle has now been caught and the evidence is piling against them. It has been revealed that the two men, nameless for their safety, have been accused and charged with so many things that the list is almost too long; drug possession, theft, battery, possession of child pornography, trafficking, conspiracy, domestic abuse, identity theft, hate crimes, kidnapping, only to name a few. These two suspects are facing triple life in prison. More updates will come soon."

The jelly fell out of Dru's mouth and back into her cup as she listened intently on the case. So... They've been caught? She wasn't even aware that all of those things were illegal. But she still didn't understand what they meant. Did that mean that she was free?

"Are you buying me?" She asked, which almost caused Melinda to do a double take.

"Buy you? Why on earth would you say that?" She asked, sitting down on the chair. Dru put her jelly on the table and looked down at her arms.

"Well, they are going to the slammer forever. That means that I have to be bought or else I'm thrown into the street." She explained, then looked up at her with a blank expression. "Are you going to buy me?"

"Dru, listen... No one can buy you because you are not for sale. You are a human being with rights. People don't buy other people, that is wrong and illegal. You are your own person, Dru, from now on you control what you do and how you live your life." Melinda replied slowly, her hand resting on the bed next to her. Dru just decided that everything she knew was a lie and that she just shouldn't say anything anymore; she was clearly not up to date with the social norms and everyone around her thought that she was insane.

"Okay." She replied, and that was all she said on the manner.

"Dru, there's also something else I need to tell you." She sighed, leaning back on the chair. She looked at her. She seemed to be thinking about how she would word it. "Do you know what parents are?"

She thought for a second, before remembering something that one of her clients asked her about where her parents were. "They look after you, don't they?"

Melinda smiled at her. "Yes, exactly. They raise you from a baby into a lovely young adult."

"So, my bosses were..."

"No, Dru. They were not your parents. They are far from your parents. They took you from your parents, and now it's time that you return to your real parents."

The room was spinning and she didn't know why. It made her stomach tie into knots whenever she said the word parents. She was told that her parents sold her to them, but what does she know? Her bosses did nothing but bad things to her, so perhaps they were lying to her.

"What?" She asked, tilting her head at the woman. The smile on her face grew as she unfolded a piece of paper that she held in her wrinkly hands. She turned it towards Dru and it had an image of a man and a woman in their 20s.

"These are your parents. These images were taken a long time ago, of course. They would be much older by now. Dru, do you know what I'm saying? We have found your real parents."

She didn't say anything, instead she took the paper and stared at the two people. She sat up, looking into the mirror that sat opposite her and compared herself to them. Brown hair from dad, blue eyes from mum, tan skin tone from mum, nose from dad... It was true, these two people must be her parents.
