Gail's POV
I clasped my hands as I wait outside the operating room.
There was something wrong.
Tears were streaming down my cheeks as I wait outside with dad.
"Is mom going to be alright?" I asked, sniffing.
"She will, honey. She is a very strong girl." Dad said smiling faintly.
"She is." I replied, nodding my head.
I can't believe this.
My baby sibling--
Inside her tummy...
The doctor in a white coat went outside holding clipboards and facing down walked up to us.
"What happened?" I asked, jumping up from my seat.
"Your mother.. is suffering from a major case of heart attack causing her to collapse."
"What?!"
"Maybe she is shocked, but either way it is bad for the baby. She is still due for the next two months so we consider it early for her water to break. It is impossible, and for the baby's safety, we need to operate your mom via C-section. But we are not so sure if your mom can handle it.. and the baby can have some complications." The doctor answered.
"What do we do?! Isn't C-section very expensive!!?" I asked.
"It is."
"Then.. dad! What do we do?" I asked, facing dad.
"I don't know... I still have unpaid loans from the bank.." Dad groaned, frustrated.
"But dad-- mom..."
"I know. We have to find a way.." Dad said.
"I'll.. try to find a job..." I replied, raking my hair with my fingers.
"What? You can't! You have to focus on school!" Dad retorted.
"No! Mother needs me..." I said, getting up from my legs and walking out of the hospital doors.
I'll do anything for the baby inside my mom.
"Look, no matter how much money you earn from your job, it doesn't change the fact that you won't earn that much. Plus, we don't have much time to earn that kind of amount." Dad sighed, making me stop on my shoes.
"Then what should we do..?" I said, scrambling on what to do.
"Dear..."
"Hm..?" I asked hopefully.
"Um, about the money.. you know One Direction can't stay with us forever.. we can trade them in secretly and we get money for your mom's C-section and extra money for my loans and--"
"Dad!" I interrupted angrily.
"What?"
"I am never going to betray them! I can't just trade them in! They are not just some stuff that you can easily exchange! They are human beings! Have you thought about their feelings, huh?" I replied, clenching my fists.
"I was just being practical.." Dad reasoned out.
"You are heartless!" I screamed,
Dad stood up, walking towards me and gripping my arm.
"Gail! This is your mom we're talking about! Your mom who raised you! Your mom who took care of you when you're still clueless about things! One Direction is just a band. Even if we say, Harry's your boyfriend, who was there first? Who was there to feed you and supply your needs? One Direction? Listen, Gail. Who is more important to you? Your mom? Or One Direction?"
