[Beam]
The Rag and Flag day is happening this day and Beam really didn't want to go.
He is still in fucking pain. Fucking hell. Everytime he felt this, it was like it was mocking him, making him remember that consequence will always be there in any stupidity you do.
At least it wasn't as overwhelming as it was before. Taking a painkiller numbs the pain and helps him move around more. Though the soreness stayed. And he is still tired.
He sighed as he looked around the bustling crowd. Flag day, going around to ask for donations. Normally, he'd be out there flirting and thrives with the enthusiasm around. There are a lot of cute girls around after all, and he found out - with Yo, not that he'll tell Pha about that - that he isn't opposed to cute boys as well. But he really isn't in the mood.
Sadly, his opinion wasn't even asked. He was just thrust, along with Kit and Pha to be the front line fund raiser and collect a lot of donations.
Not only that, his phone is still ringing non-stop. It's been like that since yesterday until late at night. He's just really thankful for his insight of silencing his phone.
But now, he's really tempted to turn it off and be done with it.
He saw Kit busily texting while having a scowl on his face and rolled his eyes. He knows, without even looking that it was probably Nong Ming who's been pestering him. Kit's expression said it all. That annoyed look only occurs when Nong Ming is around. Kit was dead set against being with Ming but here he was, entertaining the freshman. He's slowly being bewitched.
Beam wonders when Kit will finally give in. Pha, who was right there beside Kit only looked at them with his thinking pose. Beam raised his eyebrow at that. What is he trying to analyze?
The phone in his hand suddenly vibrated again and he gave it a dark look especially when he saw what was on the screen.
[Ai'Forth calling...]
He's so close to smashing his phone on the ground. To prevent baseless destruction of his property, he called out to the busily texting Kit.
"Kit!" When his friend automatically lifted his head to look at him, he threw his phone at his direction. Kit's eyes widened and he had a sort of mini panic attack as he caught his phone.
"Beam! A little warning!" Kit scolded. Beam rolled his eyes.
"I know you'll catch it," he just said.
"What am I going to do with this?" The question temporarily made him scowl before he eased his expression back to normal.
"Take it away from me. I don't want to see it for a while." He then walked away holding his own donation box in his hand that the project leader gave him. Pha and Kit also have theirs on them. They walked around outside their campus asking for donations when suddenly, he saw at the corner of his eye a blue engineering jacket.
In almost exactly at that same moment, as if he could feel his gaze, that person turned around and directly connected his gaze at his eyes.
It's Forth.
Before he could even evade and herd his friends away, Kit exclaimed.
"Oh! It's Forth!"
"What is he doing here? This is the building for medical course," Pha wondered. Beam's mood dropped. He had no delusions about Forth's reason. He is here for him. With his frequent calls and messages, it's not really a hard guess.
Forth walked towards them, his manner purposeful and serious. Beam felt like wanting to run away but he made his feet stay.
He didn't need to run away. Although he figured that Forth would probably become a problem, he is still his friend. If he wanted things to go back to normal, he couldn't run away.
