07: Relationship Status

[Forth]

Tuesday morning saw the return of his usual mood. Forth, though still feeling uncertain, has made up his mind about what he should do.

And this time, he's going to go through with it.

As expected, there were quizzes in almost every subjects they had but since he oftentimes read in advance, it's easy to answer them. He felt almost back to his old self.

Until lunch came. He was starting to think lunch is the time for confusion. Maybe he should just forget lunch next time?

He had seen N'Ming dejectedly walking towards an empty seat with his lunch. He looked so out of it, his shoulders sagging and eyes almost always staring at his tray. It was kind of startling.

Because of N'Yo, he had come to know this charming freshman, especially when he had asked him for his help in courting N'Yo back then. Not to mention N'Ming was the Moon of the Engineering Department and is now the current Moon of the University.

In all the times he'd seen the freshman, this was the first time he ever looked like that. It was almost startling. It even made many others look his way, to which he completely ignored. Or more like didn't even see.

Concerned, he gave his friends a small wave to indicate he won't be joining them before going to the other's table.

"What's got you looking like that?" He asked first thing as he sat down. N'Ming looked up in surprise before he gave him a small greeting. He did not answer though.

"So...?"

He gave a small, but heavy sigh. It made Forth blink. That sounded problematic.

"It's P'Kit, P'Forth."

I knew he liked Ai'Kit. Just the way he talks already gave that up.

"What's about him then?" Forth already had the thought that if his junior ever try to pursue Ai'Kit, then he'd have a hard time getting the medical sophomore student to ever get a clear yes. Ai'Kit was often grumpy. Not to mention out of the three famous crazy medical gang students, Ai'Kit is the one who acts first and think later.

At least that's what he thought. The term 'tsundere' fits him well.

"I don't think I have a chance with him." N'Ming gave a slow, depressed sigh, his entire aura surrounded by this gloom so unlike him.

Forth blinked. This junior of his seems to think that what he had said is a sure thing.

"Why?" He's curious to know. It's not often he bugs juniors about their love life. He just asked now because aside from the fact that N'Ming already grew on him, he is interested with one of the crazy med gang members. He wants to know.

"He's in a relationship with P'Beam." N'Ming's expression became even more depressed and he played with his food.

Forth though was frozen in his seat. That unexpected information was like a bomb going through his head. One that he really did not see coming.

At once, he remembered about that night. Though this time, it isn't about that... unforgettable memory.

It's about the one from before.

Beam was kind of depressed and in a confused state. He drank until he could not take it anymore. He asked questions about himself and even told him about the conquest that did not proceed.

He remembered Beam asking him if he really liked Ai'Kit.

It was this that lead drink Beam to prove that he could sleep with anyone because he currently didn't have anyone in his heart.
