Akinata's P.O.V

We had school today and I made sure Deku was up so we could leave. And sure enough he was. Thank god!

Once we left we only had about ten minutes to get to school the 5 to class so we ran. We ran into the classroom panting and Uraraka walked up to us.

"Are you guys ok?!"

"Yeah. We're...fine!" I laughed as Deku tried to answer her but ended up breathing into much air. Starting to choke I hit his back a few times. After he was ok I walked behind Bakugou's desk and sat down at mine while staring at the explosive boy in front of me. (pretend that Deku sits behind Akinata)

Surprisingly he was pretty calm but had a scowling look in his face. I stared at his angered face and then poked his cheek.

"What the hell?!?" He yelled at me.

"There you are! I thought you had turned into some sort of statue!" I laughed.

The class looked at me and whispered something about being brave. I didn't want to hear but people don't know how to whisper nowadays.  Bakugou sat down without even yelling at me again or giving me another scowl.

'Hmmm. Well, that'll be interesting. Poor Bakugou, you make me wanna mess with you again. I like it when you're angry. It's kinda cute.' I laughed at my thoughts.

Aizawa walked in and started class. Today was just another exam on our quirks for his class.

"Whoever comes in last with be dismissed from class. Permanently." He said coldly.

There was a set of things we had to do. First, we had to throw a baseball and Aizawa measured the distance.

Bakugou was first and then Deku and so on. Bakugou did well. Deku kinda, well ya know, he broke his finger. Finally, the last person, I was up. I used the full amount of fire to project to ball into space. The electric currents that I forced into the ball made it easier to throw.

Next, we had to race a certain distance. I was against Iida so I made myself slower than him by a meter. After the last rounds we had to do, the scoreboard was projected and Deku came in last.

I saw his heart shatter.

"No...way..." I heard his breathing stop.

After a few minutes of looking, I saw my name. Second. Good for now.

"Aizawa was kidding," Momo said. She was always sharp on these things but I know Aizawa wasn't kidding at all. He was completely serious. He saw the potential in Deku. Even though he doesn't know that Deku was given his quirk, his potential to be a hero is amazing.

"Here's a pass. Go to the nurses' office and get that broken finger checked out." Aizawa said, giving Deku the pass.

I was looking around and saw All Might peeking around the corner. I giggled and Bakugou gave me a weird look.

"What are you laughing at Kinata?" He asked, smirking like usual.

"Oh, just your face. It's adorable when your smirking." I smirked in reply. He yelled at me for the comment but it was to be expected I guess.

He brushed off my complement and quietly walked next to me until we got to class.I hummed as I sat down, trying to annoy the explosive blonde.

"What are you doing this weekend?" I asked him

Bakugou's P.O.V.

"Huh!" I was dumbfounded by her question.

"Are you deaf? I asked what you are doing this weekend? I'm going to the amusement park and I wanted to go with someone. Deku is busy with training so he can't go. Want to go?" She asked with that goofy smile of hers.

"Why would I want to go with a nerd like you? Go with Deku! You damn nerds can keep each other busy." I yelled at her as we walked down the hall to class. She giggled.

"Come on Bakugou! It'll be fun. If you don't like it after we get there then you can leave. I promise I won't hold you back from that. I just want someone to go with me. Did you not hear me when I said that Deku's busy with his training this weekend." She explained.

This girl. She makes me soft. I stole a glance at her. The sunlight reflected in her ocean blue eyes but with the sad look on her face, it didn't match. She usually was always happy. I put my hand on her head and messed up her hair. "I'll go."

With that, she looked at me and happily jumped around and then hugged me tightly.

"Thanks, Katsuki!! You're the best!" She yelled then ran into class and sat down.

I gave a small smile thinking of her saying my name. When I walked into I saw Deku laughing with Kinata. I made a growling sound and sent warning explosions towards him. Akinata sighed as I sat down.

"What did he do?" She asked me.

He didn't do anything but him being near her pisses me off. I get this feeling like if I leave her then she'll suddenly just crumble. She may not show it but I can tell ever since we were kids that she has it rough. That sad, lonely look in her eyes still hasn't left.

But she never has crumbled. Maybe she is stronger than I thought she was.
