*A Few Years Later*

It's been a while, and I haven't heard from Susie...I have tried to get in contact with her, but she just refuses to respond. I have tried to go to her house, but she either doesn't answer or slams the door in my face when she sees that it's me. Ugh...I wish that what happened back at the studio never happened. Now, I have a different job to make up for the fact that I quit my old one. Now, I work at a bar playing music on the piano, and I am occasionally bartending to get the extra cash. At the very least I'm away from Joey. I never liked him. He always found a way to get himself into trouble, whether it was caused by him, someone else, or some kind of outside force. I was getting annoyed having to always get him out of trouble. Also, in recent years, he's been getting really unbearable. It's been getting worse and worse ever since Henry left the studio. First, it was the pump switch in my office. Then, it was the unstable elevator in the lower levels. Honestly, what was he thinking? That elevator needs a proper repair job.

I still have to put up with Wally, though. I do like him, but he just gets on my nerves from time to time. Recently though, I haven't heard from him, which is unusual. Maybe he's sick? I don't know. I've also started seeing Susie less and less around town. I'm worried. I don't want anything to happen to her. *Sigh* I just wish I had more confidence to speak with her. I just want to know what's going on. I also want to apologize to her about what happened back then. I don't like it that she's mad at me when she doesn't even know my half of the story.

*Knock, knock, knock*

Hm? Who's at my door? I'm not expecting anyone. "Hi, Sammy..."

"Oh, Susie! Come on in!"

"Why are you here? I thought that you were mad at me for what happened back at the studio a few years ago."

"I was, but I just want to know what happened back then. What's your side of the story?" "Oh, well, since you came in late-"

"Came in late? I was scheduled to come in at 2:00 pm! Why did you think that I was late?"

"It wasn't me who thought you were late. It was Joey who told me that you were. Anyway, Joey brought Allison in to cover for you and you came in just as we finished up."

"Huh. That's a little suspicious, don't you think?"

"Yeah, I do. Joey always knows when people are supposed to come in, especially when we are behind like we were back then," I ponder over it for a moment.

"Well, I gotta get going, Sammy. I need to prepare for a meeting that Joey wants to have with me later today. Bye!"

"Wait! Susie!" I blush. "I-I n-need to t-tell y-you that I-I l-love you." I struggle to speak because I'm so nervous.

"I love you too, Sammy," she blushes and gives me a kiss on the cheek. "Bye, Sammy. See you tomorrow," Susie says as she leaves.

"Bye, Susie"
