chapter 15 {too close}

(Y/N)'s POV:

I trembled as I looked down the building terrace seeing that the streets were mostly occupied with eaters Tom and Edd hadn't been home and this is the second time for Tom, does Tord hate Tom that badly? I sighed and run my hand through my (h/c) hair messing up my bangs in process.

"(Y/N) are you alright there?" Matt asked taking a look at me.

He just went up here to check on me but I could see that he was also worried for the two boys too. Well that was what I thought.

"yeah... I'm just a bit worried" I told him leaning on the terraces' railings.

Matt walked up to me and sat in front of me staring at me as I sighed looking away from him stressed, knowing not only are they in danger but also my life line without the antidote I needed.

"they haven't came back...maybe Tord did something and ugh!" I cried crouching down.

Matt frowned and opened up his arms for a hug, seeing this I sighed and leaned to him hugging him I did need comfort anyway. He drawn circles on my back as I silently breathe in his scent.

"wanna talk about it?" he asked  as he rest his face on the crook of my neck.

I sighed and stayed quiet, Matt taking note of this, he just stayed quiet and continued rubbing my back for comfort. We stayed on that position for a bit before I got up leaving the warmth of his skin and decided to find the two missing boys.

"(Y/N)?" Matt called grabbing my wrist. "do you not like me?"

I stayed quiet, not knowing what he ment by that, of course I like him, he's like that one quiet friend in the group that would always help you on your hardest times like a brother.  But I couldn't seem to let out those words thinking he might ment the other meaning and hurt him on accident.

He stood up getting my attention to him "was that too hard to answer?" he asked a hint of pink dusted his freckled cheeks.

I took in his looks his ginger hair being flown a little by the cold wind of the night's sky, his pale skin glowed a bit from the moons light as his brown eyes shined handsomely to the night, his squared chin showing up on how handsome he is, yet on his personality Tom told me he was very bubbly and skittish but on how the world change he turned to be the quiet one mysterious and very kind when asked, but on his narcissistic side? well it didn't change he'd still compliment himself time to time and would try to tend more on his face sometimes, but I didn't mind he was after all Matt. He was what every girl asked for attractive  as they say. I blushed to that and looked away my heart racing from every different emotions I was feeling. I wanted to talk but I fear that my words might came out as a stutter, which would.

From spacing out that I didn't notice him leaning forward trapping me on the railings his face an inch on mine. He stared directly at me as I stared back at his brown orbs, as his face shown nothing but blank.

"Do you hate me?"

Tom's POV:

My hand trembled not getting an answer from the guy instead fearing cries and continues 'sorry's and other stuff he was mumbling only came out from him.  I have to move...  I tried to get up but my legs was too numb to move, I couldn't think straight.

Not till I heard groans. My heart starts too raise badly as I tried to breathe.  I have to move but if I do will I still survive?

"T-Tom?" I heard Edd's raspy breath.

I slowly looked  up and saw Edd scratching the back of his head sitting up drowsily as if there wasn't a problem in front of him. He glanced at me and rose an eyebrow.

"Tom are you alright?" He asked but his question was answered once he saw a gun and the guy behind me groaning.

His confusion turned to horrified quickly. He stumbled to get up and took the gun near me, He stumbled a bit before he pointed it near me and shot without hesitation .

I heard a thud behind me. I couldn't turn around, I was too scared to turn around and see what he shot behind me so I stayed still shaking from trauma I just received. Groans were still heard as Edd breathe heavily.

It took a minute for Edd to process what he just woke up to, but he didn't question it he only muttered something gripping his hair.

'W-we should head back, the mob must of heard it" Edd advice looking down on me.

I nodded and tried to get up my leg was burning but I manage to walk a bit, we didn't have anything to wrap my hand up so I'm walking with a burning leg and a bleeding hand. What's the worst thing that could happen? I sighed shakily, running my non wounded hand to my hair to relax me for a little.

"Are you gonna be okay with this Tom?" Edd asked placing the gun in his coat still unsure if we could last.

I stared at the ground for a second before picking up my knife from the floor, it had some blood splatters but it was in a good condition to kill. I then took out the note from my pocket that had the ingredient then shoving it back in.

"yeah, just wait a minute can you?" I told getting a nod from Edd as he leaned on the wall taking a breath.

I took a look behind me finally calmed but not soon to feel sympathy. A man near my age layed lifeless a groaning softly, blonde hair spiked up his sky blue eyes staring at the ground blood trailing down his mouth, he had a military blue coat on but it was soaked with blood as Edd had aimed on the back giving him an intense blood bath, I kicked him lightly so he could face the ceiling in peace. His now dull blue eyes stared up with his name tag showing 'Yuu' was the guy's name.

Sudden heavier groans was heard from him, he was turning as his dull eyes started to roll around. I frowned kneeling down to him wanting to end his misery. I flung my knife down at his forehead giving out a crack as his blood scattered everywhere on my hand, I pulled it out and stared at him as he finally stopped moving, I closed his eyes and looked back at Edd.

"I'm ready" I told him getting up.

he nodded and we started walking to find a way out of this sewer. But the silence replaced groaning from a big herd, Edd's lips turned to a frown as he once again took out the gun he had cocking it as I readied myself, Everything will be fine just keep breathing...
